Forest Haven Cottage is located in Westhaven, approximately two miles south of Trinidad within walking distance of two art galleries and Moonstone Beach. It is the perfect location for enjoying the beauty and recreation of Trinidad's beaches, forests, Patrick's Point State Park, Redwood National Park, Humboldt County and surrounding areas.
Oftentimes out of the fog and wind of other beachside properties, our cottage offers an affordable alternative to enjoy fishing, hiking, and relaxing on the north coast. We are surrounded by a mature redwood forest intermingled with old growth stumps, ferns and a seasonal creek.
Our fully equipped kitchen and home in our secluded, relaxed forest atmosphere will provide you with the escape you and your friends or family are looking for. Whether you want to curl up and read a book in front of the woodstove, or spend an active weekend hiking, biking, fishing, beachcombing, perusing our many unique shops and art galleries and dining in one of Trinidad's fine restaurants, Forest Haven Cottage is the ideal home base.
