1 bedroom apartment in newly remodeled building with elevator, queen-size bed, double sofa-bed, ceiling fans, 28" TV, balcony. Lots of natural light and a bit of a view of the Asian side.
Description of location -
Located nearby the Genoese Galata Tower, in the ancient neighborhood of Galata. It is close to the fashionable shopping and restaurant pedestrian avenue Istiklal Caddesi. It is also close to the Galata bridge over the Golden Horn, which takes you to the sights in the Sultanahmet area.
Transportation -
The apartment can be reached by taxi or metro/tramway from Ataturk airport. It is close to the Karaköy tramway station, which you can use to reach Sultanahmet (blue mosque, Aya Sofya, etc), the Grand Bazaar, and Dolmabahçe palace. To get to the airport by tram just transfer to metro at Zeytinburnu
About the management -
· We are a small family company. Lauren is from Dallas, TX and Fernando is from Barcelona, Spain. We currently also run 16 holiday apartments in Barcelona and 2 furnished homes in Dallas. We apply our same high standards in every country. We love Istanbul and we hope you will also love to stay in this incredible city. Nearby services -
· There is a Dia supermarket by the Galata Tower, plus a few small grocery stores. A very nice and popular restaurant area (Tunel/Istiklal) is just a walk of less than 10 minutes away.
Noise levels -
· The apartment is in a very quiet location and also has double glazing. There is the nightly call to prayer at 5am and sometimes the night cleaning crew can be a bit noisy -although they do not work on this street every night, maybe once a week.
Check in and check out times -
· Check in time is 4:30pm. That is the approximate time when the apartment is ready for occupancy. You can leave your luggage at the apartment from 12:00 (noon) and get your keys. We offer an early check in service where you can check in from 9am for a small extra fee (see rate section) -you get the apartment reserved for you the night before for a low rate so that it will be ready for you as you arrive in the morning. Subject to availability. Check out time is 11:30am.
Extras - Guided tours of the city. Transportation to and from the airport. Early check in and late check out.
