    Rating Details: I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. I was very happy with the location. The vacation rental was spotless. The property manager was very helpful. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We took our family of 10 to the Cottage for our annual wine tasting trip. This consisted of one 17 year old, one 18 month year old, one pregnant momma, and the rest wine drinking adults. The property and the home were very kid friendly but still very nice. The grounds were perfect for enjoying the outside. The house itself had plenty of room for everyone to not get into each others hair. We even made Thanksgiving dinner for the bunch had success at that! All in all, we had a great stay and will come back again.

    Rating Details: I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. I was more than happy with the location. The vacation rental was very clean. The property manager was more than helpful. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: It's a nice place for a big family. The towels were soft and the beds were comfortable. The neighborhood is a little mix but close to shops. The house and yard is nice. The only thing we were not happy with was that the oven needed cleaning badly - there was grease spilled. When we turned on the oven, the entire kitchen smoked up and we had to stop using it. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and it was great place to get ready for a wedding.

Reviewer Comments: Cozy Home Perfect for Family Getaway in Paso Robles We loved all the common areas (especially the spacious outdoor areas) which were great for meals, morning coffee, playing a game, or visiting and reconnecting over a glass of wine. All the bedrooms are spacious, and the beds were super comfortable. The only thing that would make the amazing property even better would be a hot tub in the back yard!

We made Thanksgiving dinner and the kitchen had everything we needed to prepare the feast, except we couldn't find any oven mitts. We walked to town several times for dinner over the weekend. Not too far of a walk. Management company was excellent and responsive to our needs. Great stay!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had 12 people in our group so it was difficult to find a property large enough to accomodate the size and this house was perfect. Its within walking distance of downtown Paso, beautiful garden and comfortable sleeping arrangements. The kitchen was stocked with enough equipment to cook and dishes to accomodate our entire group. The dining room was also quite large. If there was any downside that would be there is no heating vents downstairs (converted basement-fairly new with two nice master bedrooms and a TV room) so the rooms are heated with the fireplace in each room so the hallways and common areas are quite cold in the winter ( i should preface that and say California cold-we are wimps). I would rent this property again and everyone in the group was happy with their room (4 bedrooms, the TV room has a futon and one of the bedroooms is a suite with a pullout couch so 4 people can sleep in that room). I would say the ideal max # for this house is 10

The house was so adorable and slept all of our guests very comfortably. This home is very spacious and there is also a lot more outdoor space than was shown on the website which was an added bonus. I would highly recommend this property for large or small groups looking for a lovely home with a convenient drive to downtown Paso Robles.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was the 2nd time staying at the C @ CH. Both stays were fantastic. Very clean house, lots of room and various places for privacy. Great places to sit outside. Near downtown (long walk, short drive). Can't wait to come back. The only complaint was that the stay was too short, and that was my fault. I've read previous comments about the C@CH that have said there was a shortage of towels. Not now!

Reviewer Comments: Everything was great, except the bottom of the shower curtains were a bit dirty, and for the price it should have something better than gas station toilet paper. - I would stay here again. Manager responded on 5/25/2011: KenWe are replacing the shower curtains tomorrow. Thanks for pointing out what housekeeping missed. Toilet paper was chosen for 'Green' environmental reasons. We will revisit the choice of the brand.We appreciate knowing what we can do to do better. I am glad you got to experience the Paso Robles Wine Festival Weekend.

Everyone was very impressed with the accomodations and the beautiful yard with plenty of different sitting areas around the grounds. Everyone was impressed with the amenties in the kitchen and large dining table to accomodate up to 12 people. My daughter (28 mths) enjoyed her Easter Egg hunt on the grounds around the home on Easter morning. House was very close to downtown Paso and a Vons was just 1 mile away. Also very close to various religious churches and freeway access is very convenient.There was also great views from the living room area. Overall we were Very Satified with the home and our stay

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We felt it could have been cleaner, dirty rugs. 1 tv not in a local area for a 4 bedroom house. back door wouldn't lock. Manager responded on 3/26/2011: Connie, Our housekeeping staff did not have a chance to finish when you arrived 3 hours before normal check in at the house and requested to move in. I assure you the rugs were cleaned on the Monday after you left. The tv is in the sunroom separate from the other 4 bedrooms. The futon in that room makes up as a 5th bedroom if requested. I hope you will give us another chance in a future visit. We pride ourselves on doing the best job possible for our guests.

The house is very large, with each room unique and quaint. The backyard has beautiful garden paths, and the green shubbery hugging the whole house makes for a warm and cozy environment. I was worried that it would be a far walk from downtown, but it was very close and manageable. There were a few things that could be improved such as the King size bed, which was very, very stiff, and the tub in bathroom upstairs would easily clog up while taking a shower. Other than that it was absolutely wonderful. I would recommend Paso Robles, the Cottage, Paso Robles Vacation Rentals to any of my friends and family. An excellent stay!

Reviewer Comments: My fiancee and I stayed at the Cottage at Capitol Hill with six of our closest friends visiting from the Midwest. I loved the close proximity to downtown Paso Robles and the highway. The neighborhood is slightly "sketchy", but the house is the prettiest on the block. :) The cottage itself is quaint and warm, and has a lot of room for people to make themselves at home. I would recommend other guests looking for a vacation rental to consider this house.

The property manager was very helpful. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This house was a great place for our family's mini-reunion. It is spacious, and clean, and will have everything you need for a great stay. Pros--Walkability of the neighborhood, and convenience to downtown PR. The house was very clean, and had plenty of blankets, towels, etc for our long stay. Spacious, comfortable rooms. There were plenty of lovely spaces (indoors and out) to congregate, but there were also places to sit quietly when you needed time alone. There are 3 bathrooms, and all the showers could be used at the same time with no problems. Wi-fi, gorgeous outdoor seating areas, and views. Cons-- not many. Dining room chairs were a little rickety. The outdoor seating areas are so gorgeous you'll be spending most of your time out there anyway! There doesn't seem to be any air conditioning vents down stairs. The rooms on the lower floor got warm and stuffy if the doors were closed. We remedied this by keeping windows open at night. neutral-- We did have an incident during our stay where a loud domestic squabble at a neighboring house woke us all up. These things happen, and overall it didn't affect our opinion of PRVR, or the house. The neighborhood felt safe, and I walked around a lot, but if someone in your group is particularly sensitive to this kind of activity, you might want to look elsewhere, or ask some questions to see how often this kind of thing happens there. I would highly recommend the Cottage at Capitol Hill, and would definitely stay here again, and do business with PRVR.

    Rating Details: I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. I was more than happy with the location. The vacation rental was spotless. The property manager was very helpful. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This place was perfect for what we were looking for. My wife (of 4 days) and I were getting married at Meridian Winery in Paso and needed two rental houses - one for the ladies and one for all the dudes. The five bedrooms easily accommodated 5 couples and my one single buddy stayed in the living room. The place had a huge backyard and lots of gathering places in and out of the house that made for the perfect after wedding party location for about 40 of our friends and family. The management was very helpful and accommodating. Nothing bad to say about this place...I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking to accommodate a 10-12 people for a weekend in wine country.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This wonderful home exceeded all our expectations and the owners were absolutely great to deal with. The pictures don't tell the whole story... it is even better then it looks. The pantry was fully stocked with all the spices you could possibly need and there was every pot, pan, dish & glass imaginable. YOU WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED!!!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Three generations of two families spent most of a week here; four of us were here for the entire week. Because of the layout of the house, we were all able to join together for dinner yet find private time and space when needed. Very clean. Lots of room. Good kitchen for meal prep, large dining room, large living room, large yard with two grills. Walking distance to downtown. Perfect for three or four couples. We will certainly return. Kathy was very helpful in setting up the stay.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: As a group of eight, the house was very comfortable for all of us. The house was very nice and well located. I would suggest for future guests that you have paper towels and extra toilet paper available. Some written instructions as how to leave the house would also have been nice. Manager responded on 3/2/2010: Thankyou for your input We have put together a check in kit to address the supplies and instructions better. We appreciate you coming and will strive to make future stays perfect!

We had a beautiful view of the city from the back side of the home. The neighborhood is not the best...the neighbor across the street kept her laundry hanging out on the street the entire time. Everything was great and met our needs and expectations for the price. We would have liked more towels...4 days with the same bath towel is a bit too long. Manager responded on 1/5/2010: TomThanks so much for the input. We will have more towels available next time. Getting ready for a wedding for a group takes am sorry I did not anticipate that.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had 12 people in this house for the weekend and we had a great time on the property and in the house itself. There are so many different rooms and areas that we never felt crowded and there was plenty of sleeping accomodations as well. We used the 2 BBQ's and ate outside under the stars. We walked in to town to enjoy the local restuarants, bars and shops. I highly reccomend this rental and would use it again on future trips.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We loved the cottage. The theme to our wedding was French Country and the cottage was a perfect backdrop for our stay. The wedding party loved it... we had so much fun. It accommodated everyone perfectly. Our only concern was the neighborhood. The neighbors across the street got very rowdy. They were standing outside scoping out the cottage and what we were doing. There was also a civil dispute the following day right across the street. They were cursing at each other and chased each other down the street talking about drugs and not bringing them home. It all got very scary. Aside from the neighbor disturbance, the cottage was great. We did have to go out to buy some dish detergent and hand soap as the bottles in the cottage were really low - other than that... it was fine. Thank you :)

    Rating Details: I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. I was somewhat unhappy with the location. The vacation rental was very clean. The property manager was adequately helpful. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We rented the Cottage on Capitol Hill because our son was getting married that week-end at the Robert Hall Winery. Our children & parents were able to stay with us at the cottage because of the amount of bedrooms. We had the rehearsal dinner in the backyard and was very happy with the set-up. The only downfall was the weather and of course that couldn't be helped. But the bottom level of the house didn't have any air condtioning and it was extremely hot all night long both nights. Our family members that were on that level were pretty miserable both nights even with the doors & windows open. I would rent this property again but not during the summer months unless air conditioning was installed on the bottom level.

And you can't beat the convenience and ease of this home. We were in town for a wedding, and wanted a home that was close to the downtown area, so we could easily make it to the wedding events. Cottage at Capitol Hill was more than we could hope close to town, yet so calm.

Reviewer Comments: Our group of nine agreed the Cottage on Capital Hill was perfect for our weekend visit to Paso Robles to attend a family wedding. Initially, we were disturbed with the surrounding neighborhood. However, the size, decor, cleanliness, comfort and charm of the property quickly won us over. We appreciated the large well stocked kitchen...pans, dishes, glassware and cooking tools. Everyone loved sitting at the kitchen table and visiting. The outdoor landscaping and view is lovely. We enjoyed coffee outside in the morning and the gentlemen enjoyed wine and cigars in the evening. The bedrooms are comfortable. We were grateful to discover two water heaters for the three nice bathrooms. We hope to return with a large group for a wine tour.
