Relax in this new mountain retreat located well off the beaten path in Western North Carolina. Just two and a half hours from both Atlanta and Charlotte, Bear Lake Reserve is the perfect getaway destination. Hit the road and explore nearby Cashiers, Highlands and Asheville or stay on-site and enjoy the numerous amenities available at your doorstep. Bear Lake Reserve boasts groomed hiking trails, stocked fishing ponds, outdoor fire pits, and a newly built Lake Clubhouse.
The Clubhouse offers casual and fine dining, a fitness room, movie room, sauna, library, children's playroom, two pools, hot tubs, indoor and outdoor fireplaces and much more. Or, sit on our screened in back porch and simply soak in the mountain view.
Our three bedroom, two bath cottage is the perfect base from which to explore Bear Lake Reserve and the North Carolina mountains. The master bedroom includes a king sized bed and a large master bath. The other two rooms share a bath and one contains a queen bed, while the other has a double bed with a single trundle underneath. The floors are large plank hardwood, the ceiling tongue and groove cedar, and the kitchen includes granite counter tops and every modern convenience available.
Our favorite spot is the screened in back porch where you can take in mountain views by the stone stacked fireplace. A second mountain view is afforded from the front porch and we have a stream on two sides of the property. The cottage adjoins one of the groomed hiking trails and is a few minutes walk to Cedar Cliff Lake. For more information on the area please check out the Bear Lake Reserve web site listed below. |
