Just got back from our annual "Girls Trip" yesterday! We had such a great time. The cabin was perfect for the four of us to lounge around in our jammies and watch chick flicks all weekend. The cabin had every thing we needed and then some and Ms. Kate was so wonderful to work with. The location was perfect to go into town for some shopping or to enjoy any of the area attractions!Thank you for your hospitality Ms. Kate!!

Last Minute Birthday Plans

I was about to celebrate my 43rd birthday. However, I wasn't sure what I wanted to do. Well at the last minute I decided to do a cabin trip. I called Ms Kate and she was so nice and understanding about my last minute plans. We took care of everything that afternoon and by that night all of the accommodations were completed. The cabin was so cute and clean. I traveled with my best friend, my daughter and her best friend. We felt so cozy and relaxed in the cabin. I know I feel asleep both nights beside the fireplace before going to my bedroom. My daughter which is 13 and her friend is almost 12 felt like they had their own suite upstaris with the twin beds. Not to mention they had their own bath. They felt like college roommates. lol!! All in all the trip was wonderful. We all fell in love with Helen and will visit again. I have already told Ms Kate I will rent from her again real soon.

Great Retreat in Helen

The cabin was really cute and cozy. We really liked the fireplace, hot tub and the set up of the bedrooms.Our kids liked having their own level with bathroom. It was like going to a classy treehouse. We had a lot of fun.The roads to the cabin are steep so it would be a challenge if there were icey conditions. The owner was very nice and easy to communicate with.The location was very close to the city of Helen and was also a secure gated golf community. Overall we had a great time and would rent again in the future.

Classy cabin

We just got home from Helen. We truly enjoyed our time at your cabin . The cabin was clean and the photos were very accurate. The location was great to Helen. We enjoyed seating around the table eating and playing games. And the flat screen t.v. was great watching the Alabama football game (Roll Tide). Thanks for letting us have a great weekend with our son who will be deploying in the next month. It will be a special memory that we will think of often. P.S. We even found alot of gems and 2.2 grams of gold. We had lots of fun. Thanks again. I would recommend this cabin.

A Perfect Honeymoon Location!

I am so late with my review, but I had to add it! Kate was wonderful. She was very accomodating to our needs in the rush and stress before our wedding. The cabin is absolutely gorgeous. It is five minutes from the downtown part of Helen, and yet feels so secluded and is so quiet that when you go outside, you hear nothing but nature...and the bubbling of the hot tub. The hot tub was amazing, we spent most of our evenings relaxing in it. The bedrooms are cozy and comfortable, and having things like a dishwasher and washing machine were invaluable. We can't wait to stay here again, and we will recommend it to anyone wanting to visit Helen. :)

Our stay was so great!!! We loved Double Eagle and the price was out of this world! Kate was great and so down to earth. She was a very wonderful and helpful woman. This was the perfect place to stay and can't wait to go back. We have already talked with Kate and told her we will be coming back with our kids very soon. All I have to say is look at the pictures and there you go. It's excatly what it seems. Thanks Kate for everything!!

We loved the location of this terrific cabin -- everything was clean, and very comfortable. With the prices of gas, we decided to take a vacation closer to home in beautiful Helen, GA! This was the perfect place. It is very close to downtown Helen. Golfing @ Innsbrook is a must! The owner Kate was very accomodating. We come to Helen often and it's wonderful to know there is somewhere like this to stay when we make the trip.

My husband and I just stayed in this cabin (Double Eagle) last week. We found it to be just perfect for our needs and for what we were looking for. Quaint and cute. A close drive to everything. We had a great time and look forward to going back in the future.

Upon our arrival in Helen, we found Double Eagle to be exactly as pictured and advertised! It's a cozy little cabin in the IGLS resort area of Helen, in a gated community. It served our needs perfectly. The place was well-maintained and quiet and secluded, with a hot tub! Best of all, the owner was so easy to talk with and very accommodating! I have found a new friend, and I will definitely call her first next time I plan to go to Helen.

We were very pleased with our 5-night stay at the Double Eagle. After miles of dayhiking, it was wonderful to come back to a place that provided all the comforts of home. While I took advantage of the washer/dryer, my 19 year old daughter took full advantage of watching her favs on Direct TV....just like we were home. While preparing our meal in the "everything you need" kitchen, the daughter took advantage of Wireless Internet....just like we were home. We felt safe and secure within Innsbruck without the crowds of Helen. If staying in the area again, we will definitely request to stay at the Double Eagle. The owner was so helpful; I feel like I made a new friend. (2 Female Adults - 48 & 19)

Loved the cabin. Loved the golf course. We enjoyed a great vacation in Helen. The cabin was modern, clean, and private. Deer right outside the door and on the course! Can't recommend it high enough. Quick trips to Franklin (where I dug out a 75 carat Ruby!!!!) and Dalonega were a nice drive. Canoeing, Tubing, Golfing -- a great relaxing trip. Will be back next year!

This little cabin in the woods has everything! Located in a gated community, I felt very safe and secure. You can go shopping, play golf, swim, play tennis, and enjoy the German influence in Helen Georgia and the surrounding area. You can also just relax at the cabin and soak up the peace and quite. We had 5 in our party and it was just right. We enjoyed every minute of our vacation and really enjoyed this little home away from home. So.......much better than a hotel!

We stayed at the Double Eagle in early November. We were very satisfied with the cabin, especially the price! It was very clean and had everything we needed, including wine glasses and a cork screw! We had a little problem with the TV but help arrived within 15 minutes of our call. It ended up being a wrong button pushed on the remote, much to our embarassment! Checking in and out was easy. The managers were wonderful! Nice gated community, we felt very safe.

I stayed at this property last year and had such a good time with my family. We want to stay here again. It's kid friendly and close to everthing/everywhere. we went golfing, swimming and just enjoyed the entire Helen and surrounding area(s).
