A beach house should be close to the beach! The oceanfront is too expensive and the back island is too far to walk. Oceanwoods is the perfect solution and our Oceanwoods Cottage is the ideal location for a great Kiawah Island vacation!
Oceanwoods is a very popular Kiawah Island neighborhood for families who love a cottage near the beach. Secluded, at the end of Eugenia Avenue, it is close enough to walk to Night Heron Park or bike to other island amenities. The main attraction is the close proximity to an uncrowded part of the beach. Our cottage, 468 Oceanwoods, is a very short walk to the beach. Often you can hear the surf from the cottage
Our cottage has three bedrooms and two full baths. The master and one of the guest bedrooms each have a queen size bed. The other guest bedroom has two twins. The living room also has a pullout queen sofa. So the house can sleep up to a total of eight. The cottage features a fully equipped kitchen, dining room, living room, screened porch and sun deck. We have a charcoal grill just off the deck. It has cable TV, Wi-Fi, DVD, washer, dryer and dish washer. It is all set up for you when you get there. Linens are provided and your exit cleaning is included with a weekly rental. Our cottage offers everything you could want for a restful vacation. And it’s all just a short walk to the beach.
On the question of pool access. We are not a 'resort managed' property and Oceanwoods does not have a community pool so there is no pool access for our guests. All other resort amenities such as golf and nature and kid's programs are available ($). If access to a (crowded, noisy) public pool is a must for you, sorry, we can't help. What we can and do offer is a relaxing, convenient location from which to base your explorations of the unique island of Kiawah.
No smoking inside the cottage. Pets are not allowed.

2009 Rates Payment is accepted by check, paypal or credit card (through paypal).
January 1 to March 15 $ 800 wk. March 15 to May 24 $1125/wk.
May 24 to June 14 $1600 wk. June 14 to August 16 $2000*/wk.
August 16 to Sept 10 $1100 wk. Sept 10 to Dec 31 $800/wk.
*Memorial Day week and July 4th week $2200/wk.
