Private home located in Old Station, California at 4,388 feet elevation, with 1,600 feet of private access on Hat Creek -- plus miles of public access to Hat Creek, other streams and lakes nearby. Various fishing attractions include trophy trout fishing on Hat Creek and Yellow Creek, Manzanita Lake, Baum Lake, the Pitt River, Fall River, and Lake McCumber.
There is hiking the Pacific Crest Trail (just across the highway), Mount Lassen’s many attractions, Caribou and Thousand Lakes Wilderness Areas, Pitt River Gorge, Cave Campground, world-famous Burney Falls, the McCloud River, and Lake Britton. UC Berkley's Radio Telescope Array is located off of Doty Rd. in the community of Hat Creek, plus much, much more.
This secluded home, 200 yards off Highway 44/89, includes two bedrooms, one with king-size bed and private bath; the other has a queen-size bed across the hall from a full bath. An enclosed sleeping porch provides additional sleeping for four in two bunk beds.
Our home, about 1,280 sq. feet, also includes a spacious living and dining room plus a full kitchen with dishwasher. All linens are provided including bedding and towels. Kitchen includes all cook-ware and dishes.
Washer and dryer, Monitor heater, Dish TV, DVD player, propane Barbeque on deck – all included.
Available from March through the end of October -- weather permitting.

$100 refundable damage deposit.
Up to four(4) guests, more than four(4) - $25/night per extra guest.
50% deposit required with reservation. Remainder due two weeks prior to
to arrival.
50% Discount to Active Military and their families for weekly stays.
10% Shasta County Lodging Tax applies to all rentals.

My wife and I with my son and 3 grandchildren (ages 5-9) had a wonderful time. All of the grandchildren caught their first trout 200 feet from the back deck. Hat creek was high with rushing water but the children were diligent about their life jackets. There was even a place where the water was calmer and the grand children went to swim everyday. This was a great place to spend the week. Loved the fire pit, which was used every night. All the evening meals were prepared on the gas grill located on the deck. We all would highly recomend this as a place to spend some time.

WE HAD A GREAT TIME AT THE HOUSE. IT WAS JUST AS DESCRIBED. WE FISHED AT HAT CREEK AND BAUM LAKE AND CAUGHT TROUT. ENJOYED A NICE CAMP FIRE AT NIGHT OUT BACK. ALSO WENT TO THE HATCREEK FIRE DEPT. BAREBEQUE.

We have been fishing Hat Creek for 50 years. This was a wonderful find located on private creek frontage where we could fish without driving. The house was comfortable for 4 or more people with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Lovely private piece of property away from the road so the only sound was flowing water.

We stayed at Brookhaven Rest twice this last summer and had a fabulous time. While it is an older mobile home with era furnishings, it was extremely comfortable. Everything including a fabulous giant grill (new) on the deck worked perfectly, and the setting, while private, is centrally located to all the attractions in the area. The first time we stayed it was just my wife and me for a relaxing long weekend. The second time we used it for a mini family reunion with our sons and my 86- year old dad. We had a fabulous time, caught all the fish we wanted, and had plenty of space to sit, visit, and re-connect. We look forward to returning in 2009. Thank you Nedra and David for offering this property - it is a great value.

we stayed there in the summer of 08 it was great the house is very clean,we did some fishing in the creek and caught some good size fish. I would recommend this place to any one.We will be back again and are bringing our friends

We had a great time at this property. We have 2 small children and had to watch them around the creek but the fishing was great! There's plenty of room inside. The decor is dated but the place is clean. The owners were very helpful and considerate.

I stayed here in the summer of 2007. The property was very nice and peacefull while conviently located just on the opposite side of the creek from highway 89. The decor is some what dated but it is well maintained. I loved BBQ'ing on the porch while listening to the creek and having a fire in the evenings in the firepit off of the porch. The bunk room worked great as both the kids bedroom (what kid doesn't like bunk beds) and play room. Nedra and Dave were great hosts in working out the details. The house is well stocked with all of the bedding and kitchen neccesities and even a few family board games. All you have to bring is your personell things and enjoy the peacefull surroundings. Nearby Subway cave is a must see, even for the little ones. And Lassen Park is not far, for some great day adventures. It was a great stay. Thank you Nedra and Dave. Glen
