For the last three years we have booked our yearly vacation here, and each year we look forward to this little slice of heaven on the Big Island for many reasons. As they say in real estate - location, location, location is everything. It's actual island location, (just 30 minutes north of the Kona Airport), makes it convenient to access many of the island's major points of interest, as well as, many of the most famous beaches the island has to offer. The condo complex itself is located only just a short walk (5-10 minutes) to Kings and Queens shopping/restaurant centers, 10-15 minutes to the Marriott's beach (great for snorkeling) and 15-20 minutes to another major Resort Hotel, where even more shops and restaurants are, as well as, swimming with the dolphins. For my husband and I, our Hawaii vacation is all about relaxation and quiet, and this condo unit offers us this, since it is located on the top floor (3rd fl) overlooking the serene golf course - where we eat our breakfast each morning and watch the sunsets at night. Plus, the condo's Hawaiian/Zen décor has a calming serenity, in of itself, and has all of the amenities that you would need. Additional pluses are: It is directly across from the pool and small workout room, and best of all the condo comes with a well maintained convertible Jeep to tour the island with. We would definitely recommend this condo to our friends....and we have!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, age 55+, tourists without a car.

Overall a very good experience but a few issues that need to be adressed. The issues: 1. advertised as having a barbeque on the Lanai. After purchasing food for grilling we discovered (only after calling the "concierge") that the association no longer allowed barbequing on the Lanai. I guess they forgot to tell the numerous other guests at the same complex as many were using theres. The propane tank was removed from the unit. We were told to use the common BBQ by the pool but found it to be disgusting. So we had to broil our steaks and burgers. 2. While the unit is decorated very nicely the furniture has seen its better days. The dining table chairs are very broken down and when you sit in them it almost feels as you are sitting on the floor. We had to remedy this by using exytra pillows. The sofa is quite broken down also. The lanai furniture is very faded. 3.Our contract stated we would be charged $50.00 for lost remotes for the garage but there were none. The concierge stated they were not available and would have to use the key pad on the door. This was not a real big deal until while looking for some kleenex On the last evening ( there were none) I found two remotes in a closet dresser drawer that had a lock on it but was not closed properly. 3. The "concierge" was supposed to meet us at the condo to let us in. We were picked up at the airport by Tim the owner of Adventurous Limo Service. He called the concierge and let them know our arrival time and upon arrival took our luggage up to the condo and found the door unlocked. We had to call the concierge and wait 30 minutes for his arrival. When we discovered some minor damage to the condo we had to insist he come in to check it out. He said the owner was not concerned about small things like that. Upon check out we called him the evening before and arranged for a 8:00 am inspection. He looked at the Jeep but never went up to look at the condo. I have never stayed at a VRBO unit where the owner or in this case her representative did not call within a couple of days of arrival to ask how things were. Zhanna you should reconsider this couple as they are not representing you well. While the above are indeed fairly nit picky I feel the owner needs to know this. Her place is overall a wonderful condo and we had an amazing time. The use of the Jeep was fantastic and a great savings. I would definetely recommend this unit to anyone.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+, tourists without a car, people with disabilities, adventure seekers.
Owner response: Thank you for your feedback and concerns, unfortunately, we are not always aware of everything going on in our home and the feedback from our guests is invaluable to us in order to make the experience in our home the best it could possibly be. As far as the BBQ goes, our association has disallowed free standing BBQs and only the original built-ins are currently in use, due to safety issues. There is a first rate gas BBQ poll side in a beautiful Cabana for our guests enjoyment. We have discussed the issue of BBQ upkeep with the manager and he assures us that the BBQ is being kept in tip-top shape. It is possible that someone just used the BBQ and staff did not have a chance to clean it, so we apologize for this guest's negative experience, if they brought it up to us at the time, we would have been able to resolve this issue immediately. Our home was purchased in 2010 and all furnishings are only a few years old. I am an interior designer and am meticulous about the esthetic of my home. With that said, we can not be all things to all people and it is possible that the designer, plush dining chairs may have been too soft for this particular guest. We also have plush mattresses in our bedrooms and some guests will find them perfect, others too soft, and still others may find them too firm. As long as 99% of our guest are happy, as our reviews suggest, it is the best we can hope for!

We spent six wonderful nights at this gem in October/November 2012. For the price, this sounded too good to be true, but it was the real deal; the pictures online barely do it justice...it's beautiful. The place was sparkling clean and contained every single amenity you could possibly think to want in a vacation home. The owner was wonderful to work with, and Max, the local contact, was above and beyond gracious and helpful. The Jeep is definitely an added bonus. This condo is walking distance from shops, hotels, grocery and beaches, and driving distance from some truly spectacular snorkeling spots (if you're into snorkeling, be sure to go to "Two Step" just south of Captain Cook...it's like swimming in someone's well stocked tropical aquarium. On our second day there the dolphins were everywhere and you could easily swim among them). If you want a horseback adventure, definitely check out Paniolo Adventures... spectacular views (Maui, Lanai), super fun guides, and they let you gallop! If we go back to Big Island, the Zen Spa will definitely be our "home away from home."Recommended for: Families with teenagers, romantic getaway, sightseeing, tourists without a car, adventure seekers, girls getaway.

Zahnna has taken the time to make sure this slice of heaven has everything you need to feel right at home (exept for a coffee bean grinder we donated one have got to drink kona coffee ENJOY!!!). We stayed for 15 days we spent our time on the beaches basking in the sun of the big island hapuna beach and spencer beach are about 20 minutes away A beach is a 5 minute walk and are very nice white sand beaches. The Condo is very comfortable we shopped at costco and cooked all of our own meals this was exactly what my wife needed as she got a break I did all the cooking Hawaiian style. The jeep is a nice addition we used every mile aloud drove the entire island in a day saw everything and were not in a rush we left about 5:30 in the morning and got back to the condo at 5:30 in the evening it was a spectacular day a must do. Other than that we just relaxed and really decompressed from the daily grind here on the mainland. We have some friends in kona so we spent some time down there on the beaches as well and really enjoyed the local folks everyone is so friendly on the island. We got so tanned people thought we were locals that was the goal. Hopefully we will be back someday, we will be checking out kauai and molokai on our next couple trips to the islands. The big island is awesome a true taste of Hawaii Aloha And Mahloa this was an awesome tripRecommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+, tourists without a car, adventure seekers, girls getaway.

Hands down this is the best Condo we have ever stayed in! Perfect location, quiet, clean, and very well decorated, equipped with everything you could possibly imagine. The Lanai was our favorite spot to eat and to just hang out. The Queen’s Marketplace is conveniently located across the street, with lots of cute shops and Starbucks! Everything was in walking distance, and our favorite beach, Hapuna is located just 8 min. up the highway! The jeep was definitely an added bonus. We would recommend this Condo to anyone traveling to the Big Island. We will defiantly be back! Thank you!!Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+, tourists without a car, people with disabilities, adventure seekers, girls getaway.

Absolutely outstanding property. Penthouse overlooks a golf course. It is a third floor unit, but there is an elevator if you're tired after a day of site seeing. We ate most breakfasts on the lania. It was always very quiet and peacefull. The Queen's Market Place is directly across the street. Starbucks is on the corner. The King's Shops are just down the street. A 10 minute walk away is A-Bay Beach, just cut through the Mariott. We snorkled there 6 times, and saw sea turtles every day but once. The closest grocery store is in Waikoloa Village, which is nice and about 6 miles away. The local contact person is Tony, who is a very nice man. Tony was readily available very professional. I will definately stay at the Zen Spa again and will recommend it to every one I know.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+, tourists without a car, people with disabilities, adventure seekers, girls getaway.
