This house was designed to accommodate six children and six adults in beds with additional sleeping in the loft or on a sofa bed. This home features vaulted ceilings, mahogany doors and windows, and exotic hand crafted wood-work throughout. There is a full kitchen with a great room including a large kitchen island, concrete counters, copper sinks, walk in pantry, a 13' hand crafted dining table and an 18' ocean view bar. The home's indoor/outdoor use includes floor to ceiling, mahogany incased glass doors that slide out of the way, shady lanais, secluded garden getaways, the deepest pool on the Island with attached hot tub and spectacular views at every turn.
The kids will find refuge in a ship style 'bunk room' with six individual bunks including their own authentic ships portholes, reading lights and privacy curtains, individual storage lockers, TV, outdoor pool access all of which is located a safe (sound proof) distance from the main living area. Revi's room offers its own private deck with direct views from 'Revelations' tow-in surf spot to beautiful sunsets over Kaena Point. This room offers a king size bed and private bathroom. The Pool Studio is a secluded getaway. Tucked away from the main house, this room offers everything needed to complete your stay: pool side and ocean views, travertine shower, copper sink and Balinese vanity, kitchenette and small office/desk with wireless access. The palm room is located right off the main kitchen with its own private bathroom, garden view and access to the backyard.
The house is located on a private cul-de-sac road and is entirely fenced with an automatic gate for privacy. The decks have beautiful copper panels with artistic Hawaiian breadfruit silhouettes. The main house is surrounded with Ohia log posts from the big island. Everywhere you turn this house offers something special to see; from the oiled ship style railings, hand crafted sconces, authentic ship portholes, to the spectacular views, you won't be disappointed.
The beds are covered with a minimum of 450 thread count linens and each bedroom, complete with ceiling fans, has its own bathroom with imported tile or hand crafted redwood showers. Bali style vanities with copper sinks and all showers have a porthole window, a corner window or a skylight for added light and viewing. All bathrooms come stocked with towels, shampoo, conditioner and liquid soap as well as beach towels. There is even an outdoor shower, tiled with imported travertine, surrounded by tropical landscaping and, of course, complete with hot water.
From the bedrooms, deck, lanai, pool/hot tub, or great-room (basically if you have eyes) you can check the surf at several different locations including; "Kammieland", "Sunset", "Sunset Point", "Backyards", "Revelations". Also located close by are; "Bonsai Pipeline", "Rocky Point", "Alligators" and "Waimea Bay". You are only a short walk to Sunset beach, and you can easily walk to Ted's Bakery for breakfast or lunch, a fresh baked island treat or indulge in their delicious homemade pies. The bike/walking path is just a short distance away and takes you from Sunset Point all the way to Waimea Bay and waterfall, which meanders 3 1/2 miles along the beach. Foodland is only a few minutes away and that's where you will find groceries and a Starbucks which opens at 5:30 in the morning for the early risers.
