Other Activities	Many species of birds nest in or just stop by to visit the Destin Pointe wetland area making it an excellent location for bird watching; The Florida Gulfarium is only 9 miles west of Destin and the Gulf Breeze Zoo is approx. 33 miles west; Destin hosts many events throughout the year including: the seafood festival, fishing rodeo, jazz festival, and fireworks on New Years and July 4th. Destin Pointe is the spot for viewing the fireworks over the gulf! One of the best times of year to go to Destin is the fall! It's cooler but you can still swim, fish and wear shorts. Plus there are many fun day trips just minutes from Magnolia House, including the Florida Gulfarium, Fort Pickens, the Indian Mound Museum and site, military museums, a fantastic light house, Eden state park etc... All of this and the onsite activities as well!
