Lake Lanier 'Rustic' Retreat built in 1996.
This lake home is a dream for anyone looking for the 'perfect lake house'. Located in an extremely private setting. Includes all the updated amenities with a 'get away' from the hustle and bustle feeling. Just 40 minutes north of Atlanta. A lake home that is IDEAL for one or two families looking for a summer vacation retreat. Surrounded by beautiful landscaping, waterfalls, and a fire pit to roast marshmallows and tell stories by the water...just a few steps away from the house.
The kitchen and eating area are loaded with a lake atmosphere while providing all the updated comforts of home (a true gathering place so the cook is never left out). Entire wall of windows on both sides so you never leave the 'lake' or outdoors. Twelve and a half foot ceilings with hardwoods throughout. Stacked stone fireplace which is see through to the Master Suite. The downstairs provides plenty of sleeping, games, TV, DVD, and VCR.
If you have stayed with us before, we would love to welcome you back especially to see our renovated terrace level. We have finished the terrace level (April 2010) with trey ceilings, added new Pottery Barn furniture and all new bedding to give it a comfortable, cozy feeling and makes for an even better hang out for the kids.
Two story dock with single slip if you want to bring your boat or rent one. Deep-water in quiet cove. Relax on a raft the whole day long. Enjoy the 'True Lake Experience' at this home.

We rented this house with some friends and it was wonderful! The layout, amenities, view...so nice!! We have rented many properties before, and I must say, this one was VERY well-maintained and the owners could not have been more helpful in leaving instructions to make our visit enjoyable. We would definitely rent this property again!Recommended for: Girls getaway, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

I grew up in Atlanta so I am very familiar with this lake. "The Perfect Lake House" is the perfect term! What a wonderful vacation my family enjoyed at your beautiful home! We definitely will be coming back! The common areas, bedrooms, etc are perfect for 2 families with kids and the outside space and dock is just perfect for sunning and swimming during the day and we enjoyed fires and smores at night by the firepit. Great family memories made this summer. Thank you!Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, pet owners, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

This is a great lake house for family and friends to gather. Plenty of open space and room for our whole gang. We felt like we were back at the lake we remember when were growing up. Lots of woods, fire pit, and dock fun for the entire family. The house is very well appointed with everything you need for a weekend or week of entertaining. Pleasantly surprised how nice the linens are for a lake retreat. We love this gem on Lake Lanier.Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

About the owner: My wife grew up on Lake Lanier just around the corner from this home. Her love for the water and all of it's activities has rubbed off on me and our children. We bought this home because of it's privacy and proximity to the water as well as it's 'rustic' feel and wide open layout. The views of the lake from the walls of windows are expansive and you never feel like you leave the water. Because my wife has been coming to this part of the lake for over 30 years, she feels very safe and comfortable. This home is also ideal because it is just around the corner from grocery stores, shopping, movie theaters, restaurants and so much more.
