Relax in the open-design air conditioned interior, or on one of two patios while listening to the calming sounds of the ocean. Keep your eyes and ears open, this is the only rental property in the area that adjoins a tree path used by a large troop of playful Mantled Howler Monkeys. Stay full time and enjoy the ocean, or use this as your eco-tour base of operations. With canopy tours, deep sea fishing, scuba, horseback riding, volcanoes and everything Costa Rica has to offer within easy reach the only thing you will need is time!
The house features a master suite with a king bed, a guest bedroom with a queen bed, and a convertible twin sleeper sofa.

My wife and I had been to Costa Rica many times before deciding to buy real estate there. We would take a day or two during our visits to drive around in the areas we liked most and take not of the roads and access to Liberia Int'l Airport. After a friend connected us with his real estate agent we learned about a new road that directly connected Playa Hermosa with the highway that serves the airport. At that time the roads in Guancaste were very bad and this road seemed to good to be true.
After we drove the new road and visited the house the decision to buy it was very easy. We knew that with a little remodeling the house would be a wonderful rental and a respite from the stresses of every day life.
We consider Casa Monos as a base camp for our eco-adventures when we are there. We enjoy zip lining (canopy tour) at one of two nearby operators, visiting the active Ricon de la Vieja about an hour away, and the most active Arenal Vocano that is about three hours away. Arenal has hot springs and other adventure opportunities.
The North Western coast of Costa Rica is known as the Gold Coast for a reason and offers the nicest beaches and the best mix of development and undisturbed country. We still love going there and always wait for the monkeys to pay us a visit with their now familiar call.
The national saying in Costa Rica is "Pura Vida" which translates to Pure Life. It means many things, but you can only understand if you connect with a Tico (male citizen) or Tica (female) while you are there. The people of Costa Rica are some of the warmest people you will meet. They may not have many of the things that we take for granted, but they live well and have touched us in many ways.
Come visit Costa Rica and create your own memories. We will certainly be doing that for many years to come.

MY WIFE AND I WERE HERE FOR A WEEK IN JULY AND REALLY LOVED IT. THE HOUSE IS EXTREMELY WELL KEPT AND COZY. THE WALK TO THE BEACH WAS JUST A SHORT WALK OUT OF THE BACK GATE. WE PLAN TO VISIT HERE AS OFTEN AS POSSIBLE.
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, adventure seekers, sightseeing, age 55+.

My husband & I stayed at Casa Monos for 7 weeks & loved it. Our daughter (27)was with us for 5 weeks and son (31) was there for 2 weeks. There's not much night life but it's a 2 min walk from the beach & had a couple of bars & a number of restaurants that we could walk to. We went on a number of tours through Tico Tours,Bernal is an excellent tour guide. Pamela from Milagro Property management was very helpful. The country , weather, & ticos were great. We didn't get to see everything that we wanted to see & hope to go back this winter.
Recommended for:People with disabilities, romantic getaway, adventure seekers, families with young children, sightseeing, age 55+.

If you want to rest, this place is excellent! It is located in a private community near Playa Hermosa downtown. This place is quiet and peaceful. The beach is a few steps from the house. All the house ammenities are excellent. You can also see many kind of animals. I strongly recomend this house for your futue vacations!
