Its quite possible that this house may be overlooking the most beautiful vista in the Berkshires! A freshly updated and painted wraparound porch and deck overlook not only the Berkshire mountains but downtown Great Barrington as well. There is a lush, grassy, lawn with a child's swing set / climber, a porch swing, and a lovely wicker seating area which leads onto a deck with a charcoal grill and smoker and yet another set of table and chairs, alfresco, with a sun umbrella.

Inside this charming lower level apartment there is one bedroom with a queen size bed and window unit AC, a bathroom with a shower, a reading room with wood fireplace, a music room with upright piano, and a large bright open eat-in kitchen with seating for 4.

Ideally, this is a rental for a couple but a couple traveling with a child could make use of the sofa bed. Wireless internet in the house. Must bring your cell phone. Good service is available!

This house is perfectly positioned on The Hill within a 2 minute walk to our gorgeous neighborhood swim hole: Lake Mansfield Park, complete with a sandy beach, free swim access with Lifeguard on duty, picnic tables with grill, and a kiddie park with swingset and climber. Look out for Mr. Ding-a-ling... he's there, daily, selling ice cream.

A five minute walk has you in the center of Great Barrington for shopping, fine dining, galleries, movies, live music, theatre and more. Another 5 minute walk has you shopping at the Farmer's Market and Live David Grover concerts, every Saturday morning Memorial day - Labor Day. The Berkshires is known for its wonderful shopping, restaurants, galleries, live theater, hiking trails, swimming holes, and ski resorts. We pretty much have it all here and Great Barrington is central to all of these activities and more. Tanglewood, Jacob's Pillow as well as many wonderful museums are all within a shirt drive through the most stunning roadways in the Northeast. This home provides a wide array of cultural recommends as well as a thorough home-information packet. Come on in and relax.... You're on vacation!

Off season .................. $ 750/week
summer 2009: $1100 per week, 3500 per month
Housekeeping fees of $80 apply to bookings less than one week.
