Location: Cave Bay, Coeur d'Alene Lake, Idaho, USA (Minutes from 4-indoor pools, golf course, casino, bike trail)

Accommodations:  Lake Home, 4 Bedrooms + Convertible bed(s), 3 Baths (Sleeps 7-10)

Surrounded in the Pines with Occasional Wildlife; this spacious and well appointed family home is a favorite for May-Sept family fun with wireless internet access (only 1 of 2 vacation homes at the lake). Leave your computer at home a new Laptop is provided at no charge. This Coeur d'Alene Lake home is located in a small private secure lake community that comes with many amenities for Family Enjoyment starting with a great room with vaulted Cedar ceilings, a wall of windows with views of mountains and the Lake with a rock floor to ceiling gas fireplace.

Most recreational and leisure amenities are provided within the home which include board games, bicycles, foosball, shuffleboard, air hockey, ping pong, television, playstation 2 with games, darts,
books and a music library for the stereo. Many of our guests just enjoy sitting around the gas outdoor firepit at night, in a sky so black under an umbrella of stars where you can't hear a thing.

Several of our guests enjoy fishing off the docks (4 poles provided) or taking the bikes(6 provided)to the 'Trail of the Coeur d' Alenes' about 12 mile drive to bike downhill to a park for lunch then cross the lake to Harrison for ice cream and then be picked up by their boat back to Cave Bay.

Private lake access is .5 mile from the home. There is a park/community (only for residents/guests) beach with swings, firepit, volleyball court and picnic tables and a roped off area for children to swim in, all within walking distance or you can drive (with small children)

If you are interested in renting a boat while at Retreat at the Lake, you can try High Water Adventures at Harrison. VRBO will not allow us to put the link here but it can be found at our web site listed below. If you book the boat before May 1st they will give you a 20% discount. They will deliver the boat to Cave Bay and pick up the boat when you are done for an extra 50.00. Well worth the price since you would have to drive all the way around the lake to Harrison (at least a 45 minute drive one way) to pick up the boat. If you rent the boat for more than one day they will waive the 50.00 drop off and pick up fee. Ask for Russell

  • What a truly wonderful place!!! My family and I had the best time. There was not a thing that was not thought of. We will for sure want to stay again next summer if available. One of the most relaxing and enjoyable vacations. We truly loved it!!! I was sad to leave such a wonderful home.

  • I have never stayed in a home with so many thoughtful and useful components. Everything from fishing poles with tackle boxes to bicycles and helmets. Nothing was left out and it made our vacation an amazing success. The boat slip was just down the hill from the house, the wrap around porch was incredible in the evening and the bargeque was a big hit with steaks and burgers. We got our money's worth and much more.

  • Great house with plenty to do. We entertained 6 teenagers without every hearing the "bored" problem. Lots of fun with games and karaoke. We enjoyed Idaho and would come again. Access to a boat was a must to fully enjoy the lake.

  • We had a wonderful stay at Retreat at the Lake. There was plenty of room for all of our family and a well stocked kitchen. The garage was full of fun things to take to the lake and use there at the house such as the ping pong table. Our time there was very nice and my kids already miss the lake.

  • We had a great stay - there was plenty to do for kids and adults with many games, movies, and area activities. The house ammenities are also great - we cooked on the grill almost every night and really enjoyed the pleasant weather.

  • The cabin on the lake was more than we anticipated. All the comforts of home were provided. It was a great time for our family to reunite. My grandfather just made ice creame with the ice cream maker provided, and we look forward to eating the ice cream later today. We are going to celebrate my grandmother's birthday here, and it's a great retreat before school starts. We have had a lot of fun playing ping-pong, and we would have even more fun if we had a pool table. Two thumbs up!!

  • WOW!!!!!! We came to have a good time with our four girls. That is exactly what we did! This home is is just incredible. The challenge with our family is the vast age difference between the teens to the toddlers. Our vacation here entertained all ages!!!!! We are all exhausted and so very sad to leave. All of the personal touches were soooooo appreciated. Did I mention how very well we all slept? The beds are heaven!!! We ALL had a wonderful time.
