Enjoy peace and tranquility on Lake Martin in this relaxing lake home. It is a one level home with 4 bedrooms and 2 full baths. The kitchen is fully equipped for any level of entertaining. There is a beautiful rock wood burning fireplace in the great room. This home is great for entertaining a large family or group of friends because of the open floor plan. Yet, it can still be cozy for two.
The master suite has a king bed and a large master bath. The other 3 bedrooms consist of a 2 queen beds and a set of twin beds. You can sit and view the relaxing lake waters from any angle of the great room.
The lakefront side of the home is great for relaxing on Lake Martin. There is a great yard to sunbathe or play and picnic tables for outdoor dining. The home has its own boat house, pier and boat dock. Please come to Lake Martin and enjoy our little piece of Heaven.
This home is located approximately 1 & 1/2 hours from Birmingham and 2 hours from Atlanta. It is only 30 minutes from Auburn, Alabama which makes this home great for Auburn Football Weekends!!!!!!!!
There are several great restaurants in the area. Oskar's, Niffer's at the Lake just to name a few. These places have great food and all less than 15 minutes away. If you are interested in golf, Stillwaters golf course is only 15 minutes away. There are also several marinas on the lake for all your boating and water sports needs.

WE STAYED AUG 2 THRU AUG 7, 2011. WE HAD A GREAT TIME. MY SON LOVED THE PADDLE BOAT. THE PLACE WAS NICE A QUIET, WHICH IS WHAT WE NEEDED TO RELAX AND HAVE A GOOD TIME. IT WAS GREAT THANKS AGAIN.

This property is on a beautiful and quiet section of the lake with limited privacy and the two adjacent houses are very close We rented this property for a week in July, 2011 and would recommend it is the following things would not bother you: Large RV parked in the front yard which is not in the property photos Nail heads coming up in the dock boards and broken boards on the dock Rusted out door furniture Seawall broken near boat launch and will fall off if used to access water No access to water except for a very slippery boat launch No dock ladder Very dirty rug under kitchen table Linens and furniture in very worn and outdated condition Owner leaves a lot of personal belongings in closets, refrigerator and food pantry Very, very small bathrooms and slow running tub drains and toilets that don't flush completely Exposed wiring in one room Vines growing through boards of front porch Back door that won't lock Storm door that is broken on front door Old cabinets, lawn mower and various junk on the driveway beside the house (not shown on the property pictures) Consider getting all agreements in writing from the owner regarding check in and check out times.
Owner response:We are so sorry this family had a bad experience. We have rented our house for 7 years and this is the only complaint we have had. We have had many families let us know how enjoyable our home has been. It is very family friendly !! We know you can't please everyone, however, we try. We recieved a call immediatefly upon their arrival to complain so we knew it was going to be an interesting week and it was. We were very dissapointed in the way they left our property .... Our cleaning lady called us almost in tears when she got to our home upon their departure. We ask that everyone take care of our home as if it were our own. To address the door situation ... The renters prior to these guest had broken the handle and we were not able to repair between rentals. The door on lake side had been fixed now so there should be no problem now. We explained this prior to this review. As far as the exposed wiring issue ....we dont know of any problem. Again, we always want everyone who rents our lake home to have an enjoyable stay at "Serenity on Lake Martin".

My family has just returned from another long peaceful weekend @ this great, one level lake home on beautiful Lake Martin. It has everything you need to spend lazy and relaxing days on the lake. The home is well equipped and even has a paddle boat to putter around it. The floor plan is great, beds are comfortable, and the HUGE tv is to die for.. .. plus there's plenty of room for blow-up mattress' if needed. The yard is great and has large picnic tables for outdoor dining. Boat slip is convenient as well as the on-sight boat ramp. Owners are very nice as well as VERY accommodating! This is our second year @ Serenity and you can bet we WILL be back!
