Centrally located to ALL attractions in the Great Smoky Mountains - only 2 miles to Nantahala River, the South's BEST family whitewater adventure, in the "Outdoor Adventure Capital", and Nantahala Outdoor Center, site of Good Morning America's #1 in the U.S.A. "Vacations with a Splash" from June 29, 2006.
Newly constructed in 2007 and with all amenities and great attention to details, as well as a wonderful location: Our cabin's crowning feature is a beautiful native stone masonry fireplace (with gas logs for convenience) in the living room. Maple hardwood floors cover the living and kitchen living spaces.
The kitchen has Shaker-style hickory cabinetry. The cabin has 2 bedrooms that would sleep 4 with complete privacy - one queen bed , one full bed in the bedrooms - and since we want comfy beds when we travel, we've tried to ensure your comfort, as well. A deck runs the length of the cabin, is partly covered, and partly open, and with a stunning mountain view. Ceiling fans are on the deck and in each room, but there is central air conditioning. A large utility room is provided (with washer and dryer) for you to store your gear while you're visiting...whether your gear includes kayak paddles, mountain bikes, or just your suitcases.
A large, tiled bathroom completes the interior floorplan. Sit on the deck in a comfy chair or check out the beauty of nature in western North Carolina. Satellite tv is available, (high speed wi-fi internet coming soon) although we hope you will use the time you're visiting to escape from your day-to-day life.
