I have to admit, after culling through hundreds of places to stay in PV, that the photos, detailed description, and prior reviews of Tony's place is what sold me. I am familiar with Conchas Chinas and knew I wanted to book our trip to this beautiful area. We have two kids (12 girl & 13 boy) so we needed not only room for them but also access to a beach. We were very happy with our decision. Tony's hospitality and unending patience with my many questions prior to our trip made our time in PV the best! His place is beautiful and the views are perfect! The sound of the ocean waves with all the windows open is so calming. The pool was a big hit with us after hours on the beach. We had it all to ourselves! Towels and floats are provided, too. Kids loved seeing all the iguanas nearby in the jungle. The location of Tony's place is great in that we could walk down to Lindo Mar for eating at La Playita or to El Set - great brunch on Sunday. The walk back is a bit steep at one corner, but you take it slow and enjoy the beautiful foliage and well kept condos on the way. I highly recommend a day pass at El Presidente on the way south to Mismaloya. The very reasonable price allows acces to their beautiful beach, towels, chairs, umbrellas, pool (swim up bar) and restaurants. Plus you get credit back to spend on food and drinks. If the weather is good, you can parasail from the beach, too. We would take a taxi or bus (taxis come to your door and bus stop is at bottom of hill across from El Set) into town to experience the southern end of PV, my favorite area! So much to see and do and eat! Lots of shopping at the mercado and enjoying the island on Rio Cuale (rickety bridges were a hit with the kids) walking on Los Muertos beach, eating - so many great places, strolling the Malecon, etc. We only made it to Nuevo Vallarta once for swimming with the dolphins, but unless you like cookie cutter crowded all-inclusive resorts, I think Tony's place was the quintessential get away from the hustle and bustle of our lives. I'm glad we chose to stay a week so we could just spend a day just relaxing at his place and exploring the area. Thank you Tony for allowing us to stay and providing all the comforts of home. The washer/dryer alone was a blessing! We'll definitely come back again and my parents are hoping to book soon.

My husband & I spent 2 weeks in this lovely condo. Everything about it is just spectacular! The view reaches out towards the bay and all the way south to Mismaloya. Sunsets are fantastic every day! The condo is very luxurious and the modern kitchen is just great. We will keep going back again and again!
Owner response:I always look forward to your visit! Your great fun and I can tell by your positive attitude that you live your life without holding back. That's a very special quality! Hope to hear from you soon for next years visit!

Booking this condo was a fantastic experience. Tony was very committed to getting us the contract and condo information as soon as possible. He was also very quick to respond back if we had questions. I appreciated that. My husband, stepson, and I stayed at this condo over a long Memorial Weekend. It is one of the most amazing areas of PV, very charming. Tony gave great directions to the home. The property management office sent someone to give us the keys and show us around the condo. Everyone in the building was friendly. The furnishings were very nice. The view from each bedroom was fantastic. Plenty of room to spread out after a long day in the sun. If you didn’t feel like cooking there’s a binder with area restaurants listed in it. The condo is a short walk to a beach (easy street)... The bus stop and taxis are also down the hill which is convenient... The internet and USA calling was also another great amenity. We have stayed all over PV in the past but truly fell in love with Conchas Chinas.

Four of us stayed at this condo for my son's wedding. The owner was very friendly and helpful prior to our visit- he made sure we received all of the necessary information for arriving and staying at the condo. The property managers met us upon arrival and they were also helpful & friendly. A lovely spot, with a great view!

We have thoroughly enjoyed our time in this condo. We are two couples, one from suburban Chicago, the other from Colorado. We are all experienced travelers and in our young sixties. The views here are simply spectacular beyond belief! The owner has clearly done a full re-do within the last couple of years, e.g. granite coutertops, all new stainless steel appliances, updated bathrooms, etc. Beyond that, the location is terrific; a six minute walk down to the bus and cab stand and then only a 5-10 minute ride to the best places in town. All in all, a very fine experience. We are already planning our trip back next year!!
Owner response:There is so much to do in PV. If it's your first time, I really suggest staying in the South Side instead of Nuevo. All the best restaurants and views of the ocean and jungle are on the south side. I try to cater to my guests suggesting restaurants and tours according to their interests. As I said before, PV is the closest thing to paradise on earth as I have ever experienced. And I've been around!

We have been to PV several times and our visit to this condo in Feb. 2011 is by far the best accommodations we have had. The view of Banderas Bay is absolutely stunning and were very impressed with modern kitchen complete with granite countertop, filtered water, icemaker and microwave among other items. We slept with the windows open and heard the ocean each night and enjoyed the fantastic view. We took advantage of the local phone line to make restaurant reservations (try the Red Cabbage!) and check out local attractions (IFC Home Tour, diving, whale watching, etc.). Also, the USA line allowed us to check in with family and the airlines without having to figure out how to make an international call on my cell phone. Both the local property manager and the owner checked in with me to make sure everything was going well. I really appreciated that! We were really surprised to have access to a laptop which allowed our group to view photos while we were there and check our email. The condo is in a very upscale neighborhood and we felt totally safe and had easy access to everything. Can't wait to return!
Owner response:None of my reviewers have mentioned the Apple TV there. With so many things to do in PV, including doing nothing and just daydreaming on the lounge looking out upon the bay, why waste the time watching a movie! Tony

My husband and I have been visiting our favorite paradise, Puerto Vallarta, for the past 10 years. A few years ago we discovered this spectacular condo and found it to be our new "home" whenever we visit. The views are truly amazing, and the condo is marvelously appointed - from the kitchen with granite countertop and every possible amenity to the spacious living area and lovely bedrooms and bathrooms. One of our favorite things is the glassed-in master bathroom tub with a view all the way south to the famous Los Arcos of Mismaloya. It truly is a slice of paradise within a beautiful city combining lush jungle and beautiful sandy & rocky beaches. One of our favorite things to do is to walk around the Conchas Chinas neighborhood, known locally as the Beverly Hills of Puerto Vallarta. A fun beach path leads all the way from Conchas Chinas beach to Los Muertos beach, perfect for picture-taking, beach-combing, and just gazing at the blue, blue ocean. We simply cannot wait to return!
Owner response:I love it when people have a wonderful time! This was my favorite place when I was looking to buy, which was a very long process. I think I viewed almost everything in my price rage over a couple pf weeks! Thank God my Realtor is a friend, anyone else would have gave up on me!

Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful home with the rest of the world. We had such an amazing time and are already discussing our return. Your home is in the perfect location, extremely comfortable, and we could not have asked for a better view or friendlier staff. I would recommend this home to anyone seeking peace and quite along with the serenity of the waves crashing below. Having a USA as well as a local telephone were terrific perks. Our cell phones were suppose to work in other countires, but as we found out, we could receive calls, but not make them, so being able to call home and check on the kids was such a stress-relief. Thank you again, and we will definitely stay again.

We were two adults and three teenagers. We had a fantastic time. Mornings started with watching dolphins in the bay while sipping coffee. Lunch on beach at LindeMar at bottom of road. Then into town via beach route. Back to condo (cab) to swim in pool and change. Bus to town where we ate at a different restaurant every evening. Walk along the malecon. Sampled some great margaritas at fab bars. Then back "home" via cab. Also did zip lining, mule-riding, swimming with dolphins, etc. No wonder we called it "paradise on earth". We will definitely be back and hopefully Tonys condo will be available. Loved it!
Owner response:There is so much to do in PV and I'm glad you took advantage of so many things. Most people there speak English so its so easy communicating. Love the buses, less than .60 cents anywhere around town and an experience in itself! Come back soon!

We highly recommend that place. From the beginning, we could feel everything would be perfect. Tony is extremely well organized and you'll find everything you need in his fantastic condo. The view is magic in every room, the beds are extremely comfortable, the kitchen is awesome. It's walking distance from down town, the beach is right down the condo. Our kids loved it too. We hope we'll go back there soon and often! We only met friendly people, and all the restaurants we tried were excellent. You're in good hands, indeed.
Owner response:Thank you Nathalie, it really makes me happy to be able to share my home and to have happy guests! hope to have you back soon!

I have stayed in this beautiful condo twice now and I'm planing on going back next year. Very clean, very quiet, tastefully decorated and the views from every window are breathtaking. The pics don't do it justice. Nestled into the hills of Conchas Chinas, which is a very exclusive neighborhood surrounded by many great homes, this condo was a find. I believe the first word I spoke when I walked into this place was WOW ! A short taxi ride or a very nice walk and your in the center of town or at the beach. The pool area is perfect ! The condo has all the amenities one might need, Bose stereo system, DVD player, Flat Screen TV in master bedroom and living area, great kitchen and lots of counter space. I stayed home two nights out of seven and just enjoyed the condo. Both the owner and the management company have been very helpful with booking the condo, getting around and recommending some must do's and see in Puerto Vallarta. I highly recommend staying here, just don't book the weeks I want ..... please !

I would not say we are experts on P.V. but we are very aware of every area in it. I first started going to P.V. in 1997. My wife and I have visited there well over 20 times including a two week stay were we rented a hotel for our guests and got married. I even have friends who own three hotels in P.V. and we are welcome to stay for free. We chose instead to stay at Tony's condo for several reasons.First, we are tired of Hotels, Condo and alternative renting is the way to go.Second, Nuevo and many other parts of P.V. have become very American style tourist oriented (if I wanted to stay at a standard hotel setting or go to Carl’s jr burgers I would have booked a room down the street in my neighborhood).Third, the area of this condo is perfect and we know that’s why we booked it, close to the action but just barely far enough to enjoy a quiet evening on the balcony with friends. A rarity of Tony's condo is the dual views. Many only have one great viewing but the master bedroom gives you the best of both worlds. The condo itself is top notch, you can easily spend double the amount for 1/10 of the comfort and style. Tony has balanced modern amenities and styling while keeping comfort in the forefront. Owning a perfect Mediterranean style villa. The thing I enjoyed most was the attention to detail and lighting. At first glance many places look great but a day or two there you catch cheap and tacky details. NOT in this condo. Bravo to his décor. I give it a ten. Price, comfort and location. I have been travelling the world for nearly 15 years living out of a suit case. P.V. is my favorite port and Tony's condo is in my top spot.I did not know Tony before renting this condo but I do now! Thanks for providing the perfect place to decompress from the world.

What a terrific week we had in this beautiful condo. We would have loved it even if it were located in Nebraska, but we were impressed that it's in Conchas Chinas, a neighborhood the locals call the "Beverly Hills" of Puerto Vallarta. The views are spectacular, and the amenities of the condo are detailed and excellent. The place is stylishly and tastefully furnished, but comfortable and relaxed to live in. We had a fun filled week in Puerto Vallarta, and it was a pleasure to cap off every day by a return to this beautiful place. We look forward to returning...hopefully often! Best wishes from DNA.

We enjoyed our stay immensely. It was a wonderful change of pace to celebrate Christmas south of the border. One of the highlights of our stay was watching from the living room a pod of humpback whales swim out to sea at sunset. It doesn't get any better than that! We had access to everything we needed and were grateful for the opportunity to stay at this location.

We stayed in this fabulous condo in October of 2009. We only stayed for a few nights at the beginning of our vacation before we moved over to a resort we had prior reservations at. We all were so dissapointed to have to leave and stay in a hotel after spending time in the beautiful condo! The views are amazing, the condo was quiet, the furniture and decor were beautiful. Very nicely done and surpassed our expectations by far. I look forward to returning to PV and to stay at Tony's place. Thanks for sharing your beautiful home with us!

This was our first time renting a VRBO listing, and were a little unsure of what to expect. WOW... what an awesome experience! Starting with Tony, the property owner, he was always available by either e-mail or phone. He answered all of my questions and calmed any concerns. The condo is absolutely stunning with georgeous views every where you look. The truth is in my pictures; of which half were taken of the condo or from the condo. The whale watching from the open air living room is spectacular. There is so much I could say about all of the first class amenities in the condo, that really make it a home away from home. It is both extremely comfortable and relaxing in all aspects, as a home should be. One bit of advice I could give is buy extra fruit... if your plan to make fresh fruit juice in the juicer, beware it just might go into making daiquiries in the blender. Oh, by the way PV is pretty cool too...

We stayed 8 days and each one of them was as close to perfect as possible in this beautiful home. Everything was furnished, everything was clean, and the views were simply breathtaking. We spent several evenings just watching the ocean and the sunsets while having a glass of wine. We came to rest and recharge our batteries, and generally succeeded. There is so much to do, we had to be very selective in order to concentrate on the rest and relaxation portion, but we didn't succeed entirely! We gave in to sailing cruises, zip-lining, all day beach excursions, spa treatments, restaurant hopping, and generally just having a great time. We did manage to spend the last couple of nights unwinding, and were extremely pleased with this vacation, and this home. Thanks Tony for affording us the opportunity to share your beautiful home. My wife's birthday was celebrated while here, and it will be one of her most memorable. Bill Tidmore

We absolutly enjoyed our stay at Punta Esmeralda #602! We went to PV for a wedding and it was great to stay away from all the chaos but be able to invite other over for margaritas and sunsets. We were so impressed with the size of the unit and the master bedroom's sweeping views. Everything we needed we found from an iron to fans and a really nice blender. If we return to PV, we will stay here!

Prior to our trip we were very excited by the pictures used to advertise this property. When we arrived at the condo for the first time, we found that the pictures didn't do the place justice. The size of the condo, the views, and the overall atmosphere couldn't be captured by a photo. The location of the condo is perfect for anyone wanting to be away, but not too far away from the prime tourist spots. We stayed for a week, never got bored, and definitely didn't want to leave the sunny 80 degree days for more snow back in Iowa. We felt very lucky to find this condo, and other tourists were jealous of our find.

Having carefully considered multiple listings on the VRBO site, for PV and other destinations, I was floored by this listing. The owner was courteous and responsive to all my inquiries and concerns before, during, and after our trip, and the condo itself was just exquisite. Tastefully decorated in beautiful contemporary style, featuring all around jaw-dropping views, and nestled in a convenient, exclusive, and chic little neighborhood right next to the action, this place delivers what it promises.
