Beautiful Cedar Mountain retreat. One block to beach. Walking distance to boat launch, Tahoe Vista Recreation, restaurants, and ski shuttles. Approximately 40 minute drive to Reno, 40 minutes to South Shore, 10 minutes to NorthStar, and 15 minutes to Alpine/Squaw Valley. Built in 2005. Beautiful fenced back yard with decks in the front and back. Two TVs, one in the great room, and one in the master bedroom. DVD and two VCRs. Our pictures tell all! From the beautiful fully equipped gourmet kitchen to the comfortable mountain decorated great room. The master bedroom has a beautiful jacuzzi tub and separate shower. All bathrooms have slate floors and gorgeous slate walls in the shower and tub enclosures. Entering through the front door there is a spacious mud room. There is a deck off the master bedroom with a hot tub. The flooring in the great room and kitchen are beautiful hickory wood. Granite counters, stainless steel appliances.
You can walk to local restaurants--Spindleshank's, The Old Range Steakhouse. You can even walk further to Lanza's, a North Tahoe establishment for great family Italian dinners.
In the winter you can walk to the ski shuttles. 5 min. drive to Tahoe Regional Park for a wonderful sledding hill (great for children), snowmobile rentals, groomed cross country skiing,snow shoeing, and snowplay concession.In the summer those areas change to wonderful hiking and mountain biking trails (paved and off road). They offer tennis, handball, soccer, baseball, basketball, volleyball, exercise par course, tennis and baseball concession. Picnic area, individual barbeque, playground areas and a covered ramada. You are just 5 mins. from all these amenities. You are one block to Moondune Beach. Walking distance to Tahoe Vista Recreation Area,with its beautiful swimming beach, public restrooms, boat launch, and kayak rentals. Playground area at Kings Beach,less than 5 min. drive.

A group of us stayed at Bear's Lair Feb. 29-March 5th. The cabin is very modern on both the inside and outside (constructed in 2005) and had more than enough room for up to 8 people. A huge plus for us was that the house had three bathrooms. The cabin is located just off the main road where there are a few great restaurants to choose from. Also, the cabin is just a 25 minute drive from mountains such as Alpine Meadows, Squaw Valley, and Homewood. All in all, we had a great time at Bear's Lair and I'm sure you will too!!
