Bryson City, home of the Great Smokey Mountain Railroad is only 5 miles. The Great Smokey Mountain National Park is also only five miles. Deep Creek located in the park is enjoyed by many tubers during the summer months. The beautiful Fontana Lake is also only 5 miles away. The Cherokee Indian Reservation home of Harrah's Casino is just 10 miles. The Blue Ridge Parkway can also be accessed near Cherokee. The scenic Nantahala River is just 10 miles. Asheville, NC with its many attractions (including the Biltmore House is an hours drive. Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge (home of Dollywood) is an 1 1/2 hr drive across the mountain in Tennessee.
