Gorgeous apartment

Guest: Alison (Canberra, Australia)
Date of Stay: 12/11/11 Review Submitted: 01/04/12

My family of four stayed here in December 2011. The views are spectacular. It is large, comfortable and well equipt. The location is convenient. There is a small tesco on the other side of vauxhill station, and a large tesco about 10 minutes walk away. It was easy to check in and out. We arrived early after a very long flight; no UK mobile. The office downstairs contacted the owner for us, who let us in so we could leave our bags and get the keys. There was a great breakfast place about half way to Vauxhill station. We came back at 2pm aftere it had been cleaned and gratefully slept. Checkout was also easy. I would highly recommend this apartment.

Great stay

Stayed here with my wife and daughter in November 2011. Great apartment in central location close to tube (5-10 min walk) in a secure complex. There is a deli located on the ground floor which is handy for last minute purchases and a pub, The Rose, 5 minutes walk away which serves great meals. The apartment is spacious and clean with all mod cons. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and will stay again next time we're in London.

Great Stay for a Family of 6

Guest: Ben (Chandler, AZ)
Date of Stay: 09/03/11 Review Submitted: 09/14/11

My wife and I and our four daughters stayed in this apartment the first week of September 2011. My wife and I slept in the master bedroom; three of our daughters slept in the second bedroom, and one slept on the sofa-- it is not a pull out sofa. The apartment is as it appears on the website. It is on the 8th floor with a view of the Thames River. From the front of the building, you can easily see Big Ben and the House of Parliament. The apartment is within walking distance of many of many popular sites. In addition, there are a couple bus stops very close to the apartment building. For a family my size, the double baths were a real advantage. The kitchen had a microwave and small stove. It also included a combo washer/dryer unit. Note that combo units do not wash and dry to the same extent as typical US units. The unit also had an iron and ironing board. The internet Wi-Fi access was fast. The apartment was fairly quiet. The building is also very secure. There is a security guard at the front of the building and two controlled access points to get into the apartment. The small grocery store located next to the building was extremely convenient. The prices were reasonable, and the store even had US to UK electrical plug adapters. (The universal adapters I purchased from Amazon.com didn’t work.) We are glad we stayed here and would recommend this apartment to our friends.

Nova Scotian's First Visit in London

The apartment met / exceeded our expectations,it provided clean, modern and spacious accommodation for 2 couples. The view of the surrounding area is exactly as described. The location is within walking distance to many attractions, London Eye, Parliament, Big Ben,Trafalgar Square, etc. The staff were pleasant and dependable to deal with in arranging for transportation from and to the airport and in helping to settle in the apartment. Our 1 week visit of London was very enjoyable mostly due to the comfort and location of our accommodation.

Great Location; great apartment

My family and I really enjoyed this apartment during our weeks stay in London in March 2011. The apartment easily accomodated me, my wife and three teenagers with a large master bedroom & bath, a second bedroom with 2 beds and a futon in the large living room. The tube was a 10 - 15 minute walk depending upon which station you wanted to choose from. Westminster/Houses of Parliament were a 15 minute walk along the Thames with the Thames Embankment directly outside the front door. The apartment was very clean and the owners accomodated our early arrival and late departure. I would definately recommend this property for a family looking for an accessable and modern apartment in Central London.

Excellent location - Great People - Highly Recommended for a family wishing for a comfortable stay

Date of Stay: 08/05/10 Review Submitted: 09/15/10

As a family of 5, it is difficult to find reasonable accomodations with sufficient space to accomodate all our needs when we travel - particularly with teenagers. I came across the Lambeth appartment listing by chance, and took a leap of faith by booking the property for two weeks in August 2010. The faith realized itself into a wonderful experience in London. We highly recommend this property for a family - excellent location, clean, plenty of room, two spacious bathrooms, a great kitchen to make breakfasts, a washing machine/dryer, new TV and high speed Internet. There is an open area in the courtyard that can be used for some morning exercise and the view from the balconies was wonderful and provided us with a litmus test to gauge the weather for the day before heading off to explore. The property owner/lessor and his employees are great people who looked after us - the fellow who met us provided us with many tips for restaurants, use of the tube, and the general area - very professional and responsible group. The rental went smoothly and the property was secure - no worries. The accomodations allowed us to thoroughly enjoy ourselves while in London, knowing we had a "home" to go back to each evening after exploring London and other parts of England. I have posted this as a reference to let others know that you can minimize your anxiety about booking this property - it is real and was a pleasure for our family. Regards, Frank.

Outstanding!

My family of four spent a fabulous week on vacation here in April 2010. I don't have enough superlatives for our experience in London but list our rental of this apartment as outstanding. The apartments are perfectly located for walking to nearby sites and also very close to several tube and rail lines. The flat was clean, secure and was everything as advertised. Our hosts were gracious and very easy to work with. There are several very good restaurants within easy walking distance. We loved the Aji Noodle Bar at the foot of Westminster bridge. The walks up and down the Thames on the embankment where a perfect way to wind down the day. Highly recommend and we will stay again next time we plan to be in London for a time.

stayed in 2009 and it is still the best

Guest: Jenneu (Waco, TX)

In August of 2009 our family of 6 stayed in another of this owner's properties: apt in this same complex and were exceedingly pleased. The apartment was pristine, with amazing views of the Thames and Big Ben and parliament...I mean this location made our trip. We could easily walk to Vauxhall station to catch buses or the Tube and even better we could walk within 10 minutes (we had all ages 3-62 yo) to Westminster Abbey. The beds were comfy, and yes you might have some street noise at night but nothing beat going to bed with our windows open and hearing the Thames roll by. On the ground floor in the same building there is a great small grocery store and taxis are readily availbable because of the high end hotel next door. Also, only after a while, we realized that on the walk between our apt and Vauxhall station there were restaurants, a bakery and Tesco so convenient to our stay. We would stay again in a flash if we are blessed to travel to London again.

My family and I recently stayed for a week in this beautifully decorated and centerally located 2 bedroom/bathroom apartment. The tube and bus stations were very convenient for all. We loved the grocery store next door as well. The views were wonderful and the doorperson very helpful....we miss our friends over the pond all ready.

My sons and I recently spent a week in London at this apartment and found it to be a very good experience. The apartment is in such a great location - we walked to most places along the river, and the views - well, we felt like we were in the postcard! My two pre-teen sons enjoyed have the convenience store at the base of the apartment building and the staff were always helpful and friendly. All in all, great place to stay and solid value.

My partner and son (12yrs) stayed here for 4 nights in early October and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The location was pretty good with a convenient small supermarket right next door. The proprietors were extremely accommodating with regard to small requests and the apartment is very clean with fantastic views. I would not hesitate to recommend it to my friends as it really has everything a tourist could ask for with easy access to to local sights and transport.

My sister and I stayed in this wonderful apartment during a fall getaway trip to London in 2007. It was in a perfect location and at a great bargain compared to other London accomodations. It was just perfect for us with 2 BR and 2 baths (nice facilities), convenient to everything we wanted to see within walking distance, and very convenient to the tube/subway system. We never needed a taxi. The wireless internet is free and worked well. The proprieter was very gracious and easy to work with regarding scheduling, etc. We would definitely rebook here if we were to return again.
