  Our family stayed here last year and we were very anxious to return again this year! The house accommodated eight adults and a toddler very nicely. The backyard is private with its huge deck, lounge chairs, and fabulous pool/spa making it a great gathering area. We absolutely love the location. It's SO convenient to the beach, restaurants, general store, tennis and golf. The house is equipped with everything you will need during your stay—a well-stocked kitchen, pool and sand toys, beach chairs, bikes and even an extra tank of propane for the grill. It’s fun to take one of the bikes for a morning ride on the beach! The owners make the entire rental process seamless and are very attentive to their renter's requests. We are already making plans to return next year.

  Home is beautiful. Fit our family perfectly. Very convenient to beach with an easy walk and close to restaurants and other amenities. Home had everything that we needed and wanted. Pool is nice and relaxing atmosphere in backyard. Kid friendly and adult friendly. The owners are super nice and provided any answers to questions in a quick manner. We would definitely come back to Hilton Head and stay here with no hesitation.

  We just have a wonderful three day stay at this beautiful home. It was my husband and my first trip to Hilton Head. We were joined by our daughter and son in law. It was perfect. Our only regret was that we could not stay longer...busy children. This house is the nicest 'beach' house we have ever stayed in. Every room was beautifully decorated and had so much attention paid to every detail. The Charleston Master Suite was so warm and inviting, you were almost tempted to stay in bed all day. But don't dare. The whole area is so beautiful and so private. The short walk to the beach, which I did often, is just gorgeous. Everything about the house, kitchen, pool, bikes, and neighborhood were all you could ask for. There is no shortage of things to do, places to go to, easily, great restaurants, or great grocery stores for cooking in the extremely well stocked kitchen. Can't wait for a return visit.....much longer. Thanks so much.

  2 years ago I suggested to my adult children that we should take an annual family vacation. I would rent the house and they would buy my meals. Not so surprisingly they took me up on the offer. But finding a reasonably priced home that handles my 5 adult children, four spouses and 2 grand kids has proven to be an annual challenge. The Barber Beach Home was the perfect solution. Conveniently located on HHI, reasonably priced and quite spacious, we could not have been more pleased. Loved the pool and the spa. I am glad I decided to heat it as April was a little cooler than expected. The short walk to the beach found a uncrowded stretch that was ideal for sunning, walking, or playing in the turf. One thing that surprised me was the sense of privacy. I expected the homes to be on top of each other but the trees offered a great sense of privacy. You could hear the ocean waves but was never disturbed by neighbors. Overall, a great vacation home and spot.

  Dear Karen and Gordon, I just wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed our week at your home. It is so apparent that you take pride in this property and really want your guests to have the best experience possible. We certainly did!! The weather was a bit chillier than anticipated, but that did not stop our 3 children from enjoying the pool and the jacuzzi. They also loved the mini golf area and just collecting pine cones behind the home. My husband and I loved going for our morning run in your beautiful neighborhood and enjoyed having the beach just minutes away. The Dune house was an almost daily stop for us as it was so relaxing and the views of the ocean just beautiful. We just loved your home and all the natural beauty surrounding it. Thanks again for a great week!!

  We are always satisfied with rentals from vrbo and this one tops the list! The home is beautiful, clean and very comfortable. It has a great kitchen for the gourmet and the backyard is beautiful with lush foliage surrounding the pool/hot tub area making for a very private setting. The beach is only a short walk away and beach chairs are provided. Gordon and Karen are very helpful and attentive owners. We will definitely be back and would not hesitate to recommend 18 Mooring Buoy. Within walking distance are Alexanders which is an upscale restaurant with great food and the Dunes which is right on the beach and has great food at reasonable prices.

  This was our first visit to Hilton Head and the island exceeded our expectations. The home we stayed in was beautiful with great amentities and felt like a home, not a rental. We particularly enjoyed the pool and spa! Gordon and Karen were incredible to work with and quickly answered questions and last minute requests. The house was close to all the Palmetto golf courses and we played and loved all three. It was a perfect time to visit - weather was wonderful and crowds were reduced. It was a great vacation!

  We had a GREAT time and 18 Mooring Buoy won "hands down" as the best family vacation spot yet. The pool, the hot tub, the bikes, the beach, the area are all so inviting that our time was fully consumed in the great outdoors. The home is lovely and has absolutely everything a vacationing family would want or need.

  We rented this lovely home for a wonderful family vaction, and it fulfilled our expectations, and then some. Since we had very small grandchildren we did not want the hassle of carseats, etc., and this home was a very short walk to the beach, the general store and the Dunes House, a casual restaurant right on the beach. I think back now, and realize how quickly the week went by, but at least we will have those wonderful memories for the rest our lives. We would return there in a heartbeat!

  We thoroughly enjoyed our week at the Barber Beach House! Everything we needed was right at hand--bikes, putting green, pool, spa, beach chairs, buggy to carry everything to the beach, and even pool floats. The proximity to the beach was so important to our group since we had toddlers with us and could be back at the house in minutes. Karen is so helpful, prompt and organized sending information and details on everything we needed to know. Clean and well maintained? Just to let you know the pool service was there when we arrived to service the pool/spa and also did a mid-week cleaning. We will certainly want to return as soon as we can.
