Owner's Profile
Owner Description
Year Purchased: 2001
My husband of 26 years & 3 daughters are originally from Michigan. We currently reside in Florida on the Gulf of Mexico. We enjoy traveling and can appreciate what a traveler is looking for. We have traveled the entire US, Mexico, Canada, Greece (mainland)Athens, Delphi, Olymipia, Thessolinki, Kalambaka & the Greek Islands of Mykonos, Santorini, Crete.
Why the Owner Chose Sylva
We absolutely love the mountains & nature at it's best! Many of the attractions are located nearby. We enjoy hiking, going to the casino, window shopping, looking at the antiques, & going to the auction on Friday's.
The Unique Benefits of this Home
We enjoy the peace & quiet on the 4 acres. You can hear the relaxing water from the creek as you enjoy a homecooked breakfast or lunch on the porch. Also, there is entertainment from the hummingbirds that come to visit the hummingbird feeder located on front porch. We've even placed beach chairs in the creek or better yet, just sit right in the cold creek to cool off from the summer temperature.
We can go into town & do antiquing, shopping. Also, Blue Ridge Parkway entrance is approx. 20 minutes away. We make a picnic breakfast or lunch & enjoy picnicing in the Parkway.
When you want to go on the wild side, there is tubing in Bryson City (nearby) & rafting at nearby Nantahala. Also, Cherokee's Harah's Casino can be an adventure too with free coffee & soda as you play the nickle/dime slots.
