This 2007 custom built, luxury home with amazing year round views is located about 35 miles SW of Asheville. This immaculate property offers a welcome respite from the summer heat featuring an elevation of approximately 4200 ft. Red Maple Ridge is only a 10-minute drive to the charming town of Waynesville. Paved access makes for quick, convenient trips to town where guests can enjoy unique restaurants, quaint shops and local festivals.
The house was designed to capture the magnificent views and is decorated with upscale furnishings and bedding. To celebrate the changing landscape, interior and exterior decor is updated throughout the year to reflect the special pleasures of each season.
Whether it is spring, summer, winter or fall, guests are likely to enjoy this well-appointed vacation home. The gourmet kitchen is complete with stainless steel appliances, gas range/convection oven, granite countertops and a butler’s pantry. The 2-story great room features leather furniture, a stone fireplace, HDTV/Satellite and expansive views. The romantic at heart will find the master suite a true delight. Unwind in the 2-person whirlpool tub with in-line heater, relax in the luxurious bedding or simply drift off to sleep by the cozy firelight. Additional guests desiring privacy enjoy their own space on the second floor. Choose between the lodge-themed queen bedroom or the garden-themed bedroom. (Note: The XL twin beds can be converted into a king.) You can choose to experience the outdoors either from the expansive deck or shaded "secret garden."
Vacationers will find plenty of entertainment options! Golfers are likely to enjoy more time on the links and less time in the car. The Waynesville Country Club is only a five minute drive and there are 4 additional courses within 30 minutes. The entrance to the Blue Ridge Parkway is approximately 15 minutes from our doorstep. Maggie Valley is close by for additional entertainment activities. Asheville featuring the Biltmore House, NC arboretum, resturants and shopping is only 30 minutes away.

The roads (and driveway) leading to our home are well-maintained and paved, but as is common in the mountains, can be steep in places. In the event of inclement weather, please use caution.

In addition, the large, upstairs loft features 2 club chairs and a sleeper sofa; perfect for reading, gazing at the view or quiet conversations.

My wife and I chose this location after vacationing in the area for more than six years. Waynesville quickly became one of our favorite western NC towns with its charming, quaint shops and friendly people. Our close proximity to hiking; the Blue Ridge Parkway and Great Smoky Mountain National Park; excellent golf courses, rafting, tubing and the city of Asheville makes this a great spot from which to enhance enjoyment of the mountain experience. This is truly God's country!
