For those who want more information, let us give you some extra details about our family-friendly Smoky Mountain vacation cabin. It offers four unique levels, is built on flat land (not on a hillside) and has almost 2,700 square feet of living space. As you can see, this is not just a cabin – it’s a real home.
When you walk in the front door, prepare to be surprised by the open spaces. The main level includes the kitchen, breakfast area, living room with TV and wood-burning fireplace (wood is just outside the door), the master king suite with TV and attached full bath, a game room, and a huge sunroom with pool table and conversation areas. This spectacular room with skylights and lots of windows offers a beautiful view of the spring rhododendron and fall leaves. Just outside the sunroom you'll find the six-person hot tub!
After you've explored the main level, go up to the second level where you'll find the "bonus room" - complete with queen bed and wide-screen. We've just added vertical blinds on the doorway for privacy.
Then it's on up to the third level for the queen bedroom suite with attached full bath. This is a wonderfully private room with TV and a view of the mountains.
But wait till you see the "Tower" room. That's where you'll find a twin daybed & trundle, TV, half-bath and full-size washer and dryer. This is a great place to relax!
When you step out the door on to the top deck, be prepared to have your breath taken away by the view that stretches from Mt. LeConte to Ober Gatlinburg and beyond. The deck is the perfect place for watching the tram arrive at Ober Gatlinburg, for enjoying the panoramic sunsets, or for star-gazing on those clear nights.
Smoky Mountain Tower is fully heated and air conditioned (four heat pumps for maximum comfort flexibility), and paved parking in front for at least three cars. Membership in the Chalet Village Owners' Club is included in your rental. The clubhouse is only 1/4 mile away and you can enjoy tennis and swimming (in season) at no charge. And for those of you who just can’t “get away from it all,” we offer free wireless broadband Internet access throughout the house, as well as phones with free calls anywhere in the US.
There's lots more. Check our calendar for your dates - we keep it current. Then scroll down below the Rates to "CLICK HERE - Owner's Website." At our Web site, just click "Book Online Now" to directly book your stay. You’ll find more information there, as well as photos and floor plans. Feb Special-Save $29-Only $120/Nite+Tax at Smoky Mtn. Tower
Year Purchased: 1998
Why the Owner Chose Chalet Village North
It was 50 years ago in
September 2011 that we spent part of our honeymoon in Gatlinburg. We loved it, and began planning how we could get back. But God had other plans for us, like living up north, raising 3 daughters, visiting parents, etc. So it wasn't until we moved to Memphis in 1989 that we got back "in the neighborhood." That year, we made our first trip back to the Smokies in almost 30 years - and fell in love with the area again. We kept coming back and renting cabins - and finally decided that we should get our own place. Our whole family spent Christmas week at Smoky Mountain Tower in 1995 and we said at that time, "If this place ever comes up for sale, we hope we can buy it." It took 3 more years, but finally we got the call that it was for sale. We put in an offer right away - and the rest is history!
The Unique Benefits at this Cabin
We love staying at Smoky Mountain Tower. Whether it's playing pool in the big sunroom, lounging in the hot tub, or watching the stars from the top deck, we just feel the cares of life melt away every time we drive up the mountain. We own another cabin about 1/2 mile away, but we've always enjoyed Smoky Mountain Tower to the fullest. We love sharing Smoky Mountain Tower with guests and hope you find it as relaxing and enjoyable as we do.

Great Gatlinburg Getaway

We have stayed at the tower several times. Dave is excellent to work with and just couldn't be nicer. We have a large family and the tower is a super place to have everybody close but with their own space. The home is always clean, functional and well stocked with anything you may need for your stay. The location is great. Just a few minutes to either Gatlinburg or Pigeon Forge and since it is on top of a mountain, the view is excellent. I would highly recommend at stay at the tower to anyone, especially larger groups and familys. We sure feel at home there.

We had a great time in the Smoky Mountain Tower. The setting is gorgeous. The property spacious. The kids loved the game room, playing pool and the hot tub helped us all unwind. The owner and team are VERY responsive. The biggest problem we had? Leaving!

We (my wife, daughter and myself) recently enjoyed a wonderful long weekend at Smokey Mtn Tower. To sum it up from the beginning, the house totally exceeded all my expectations. As good as the pictures looked and the descriptions sounded, they did not do justice to the real thing. (All too often, it seems to be the other way around.) I could have stayed in the sunroom all day long. The view from the balcony on the tower was out of this world! I can only imagine what it looks like now as the leaves are changing. The house was well appointed throughout. The bedrooms are situated so that each room is rather private. We had fun shooting pool in the sunrom and my daughter really liked the game room. If there is any down side, it would be the drive up the mountain to get to the house. If you are not accustomed to mountain driving, it may present a challenge to you. I will say though, that the drive is totally worth it and Dave provided excellent directions. While you're in Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg, be sure to eat at the Old MIll and then shop around afterwards. Some other great places to eat that we have "discovered" are Bennetts BBQ, Huck Finn's (great catfish) and Mamma's Place. We look forward to staying at Smokey Mountain Tower again in the near future.

Smoky Mountain Tower is a great place for families. Its large accommodations were perfect for our family of six. We really liked that everything we needed was provided. The only thing we had to do was bring food. The owners are very friendly. Any questions we had were promptly answered by e-mail. This really made us feel welcome and comfortable before we arrived. We didn’t have any surprises – everything was just as we expected based on our review of the web site. It was great being able to go to the pool each day. There are 3 clubhouses within a few miles and each had friendly staff as well as other activities like tennis, ping pong, shuffle board, and foosball. We were very happy to be close to Gatlinburg instead of Pigeon Forge. We stayed for a week and only went to Pigeon Forge once. There are lots of fun things to do in Gatlinburg and we went to the mountains on three different days. The hike to Grotto Falls was our favorite. We’d also strongly recommend a visit to Clingman’s Dome.

Our recent stay of five adults and three childdren made this a perfect place for size. All enjoyed the pool table and we loved sending the kids to the "tiny" sound proof game room. We placed Nana in the tower and four flights for six days worked off all calories. The drive up really feels treacherous, but we made it. It was worth it after 44 years of trying finally seeing the bears (3 sightings and 5 bears {3 cubs}). The owners are terrific to work with and the price is great with no add ons. The home is older and the kitchen will be a little tight, but when you are having fun, who cares. I would have liked a little more outdoor space for the kids to play, but again we were busy lots of the time. We recommend the aquarium. They Reynolds/Riek clan

We really enjoyed our time at The Towers. The view from the upper deck was great and the sunroom was very relaxing. I think all who stay here will be very happy with their decision to rent it. We saw 2 bears on the property and 1 within the community. The gameroom was fun for some down time. Very high up on the mountain but to get the views you need to be. Very convenient to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. Great home away from home!!!

We loved having this home to relax and unwind in on our vacation. It has nice mountain views but the view is from the top of the tower. The rest of the home is surrounded by woods. It's at the top of a mountain and the drive up and down is lots of turns and about 7 minutes long. We found this home very comfortable with lots of room, very clean, and homey.

We were in awe as we approached this property! The photos online really did not do it justice! Everything was clean and we felt at home immediately. The location was perfect! Right between Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge and easy access to the trolley stop. The soundproof gameroom and pool table were a hit as well as the hot tub on the back deck. We saw a Momma bear with 4 cubs, twice and another lone visitor off the back deck. Lots of wildlife! The ease of booking and checking in were great! The owners were so nice and provided us with timely and friendly service. We are hoping to make this a yearly vacation spot and will recommend it to everyone we know.

Smoky Mountain Tower was a great place for 3 senior siblings and spouses from various parts of the country to get together for a relaxing few days. The owner was super good to work with and the price was very good. I appreciated being able to also use a credit card, which makes it simpler to book, and no cleaning fee was an added incentive. We definitely would return and also recommend it to our friends. Having rented homes several times before, I found this experience to be the best we have had.
