  We've stayed with Kevin and Michelle several times in the past 3 years in both upstairs and downstairs units. I have family on Amelia Island and still prefer to rent this place. It's more like staying as a guest in a friends house as Michelle is very engaging and will go out of her way to make sure you're comfortable. We hold LARGE family gatherings as my whole group will show up (15+ people and lots of kids) and no issues at all. They even let my my in-laws park their RV in teh driveway! Been visiting Amelia for over 20 years and this is just a great place with a great location. Direct beach access, close to Sliders, The Surf and Sadler Road shopping. We've already booked both units for our July vacation this year (2013) and are bringing friends to introduce them to the experience. That's the key to this place - it's all about the full Amelia Island beach experience.

  Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

  My husband, child and I have stayed in the downstairs unit twice now, once in 2009 and once in 2012. We could not ask for more friendly and helpful hosts. The location is key and directly across to the beach. The beach is never packed and is truly enjoyable. The unit has everything you need from washer and dryer to hot tub. We hope to stay there again this summer!

  My family and I recently rented the 3 bedroom unit. The accomodations were great and everything was clean and orderly upon our arrival. Michelle even called me on my cell to tell me it was ready. The downstairs unit has an awesome front porch were we spent a good bit of our time. The beach is directly across the street with easy access. We were there for my daughter's wedding on the island. Upon my early departure I left my daughter's bouquet in a vase on the kitchen table. The decorations were so nice in the unit that in my haste to take a relative to the airport it looked like part of the decor. While returning to Tallahassee I realized my stupidness. I quickly emailed Michelle on my phone and told her what I had done and asked if she would be so kind to dry them out for me. I will be returning to the island in August. She returned my email in a matter of minutes and asked me how to do it. She even offered to send pictures periodically of the bouquet!! Not just anyone would be nice enough to do this. I would recommend this place highly.

  We booked on rather short notice and appreciated Michelle's quick, friendly responses. This quaint "old Florida" cottage is just a block from the beach. Downstairs is a nicely updated kitchen and small living room. Upstairs is a roomy bedroom, (with a comfy king bed), a small bathroom and a big closet. Two TVs, a/c, and wi-fi complete the package. Beach chairs are provided and there are miles of wonderful, uncrowded beach just a short walk away. Food on the island is great. We especially liked Mary Jean's, Pablo's, Bright Mornings, Moon River Pizza and Karibo. The is not "The Ritz", but if you are looking for a clean, quiet, homey hideaway, you'll love it. And, it's a great value at less than the price of a common hotel room.

  Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway.

  Absolutely beautiful property, more amentities than at home! You need take nothing and Michelle & Kevin are wonderful hosts. They think of absolutely everything and make sure your time there is worth it. Will be staying there again definitely and maybe renting the whole house next time! You will not be disapointed. Thanks guys!

  This vacation rental is a hidden gem, I almost wonder if I should keep the secret to myself. The two rental units are very spacious and clean and conviently located directly across from a beach that is never overcrowded. In fact, we felt as if we had the beach to ourselves! We collected lots of seashells and shark teeth and watched dolphins playing in the surf. Michelle and Kevin are incredibly accomodating hosts - always friendly and willing to go out of their way to ensure you have a wonderful vacation. The kitchen is fully stocked, the living area is very comfortable and filled with windows, the bedrooms are spacious, and the bathrooms are very nice. If you are looking for a place to relax, avoid the beach crowds & oil spill worries, and feel like you are in your "home away from home", this is the place for you!

  Kevin & Michelle are excellent hosts that make you feel better than being at home!! The location is very close to a beach that is private beach like. After having visited several times with our family, we are looking forward to returning with friends and renting both levels. It is truly like having a home away from home!!

  My husband and I have rented this house for the 4th year in a row. The house is very well kept and it is always clean and beautiful. If you want to have a good time or a relaxing time, this is the house to rent. There are balconies with nice patio furniture to sit on where you can enjoy the beautiful scene of the ocean and the quietness of Amelia Island. I would recommend this property to everyone. The owners are very nice and friendly. You will not be disappointed to rent this house.

  We stayed in the one bedroom cottage. It was completely renovated and fully furnished with everything under the sun! We felt right at home and will be going back to this rental for years to come. It is literally across the street from the beach, one block. I highly recommend this place to everyone looking for a quiet vacation on the beach. I also recommend going into old town Amilia Island. There are so many great shops and restraunts. Go eat at Generro's or the Irish Pub! Both have great food. And the boat tours given at the Marina are wonderful too! I'm already planning my next trip.

  We just got home from a week at this rental. We rented both units and had our whole family with us, including our dogs. It was far more than we ever expected, the pictures do not do it justice!! It is huge and well stocked with quality everything. Just bring your clothes and some food and you are set!! We have never had a better time anywhere else and look forward until the next time we can treat ourselves with another week!!! I will always remember the time all 11 of us spent on the front porch...perfect in every way.
