Location: Siran, Languedoc-Roussillon, France, Europe (20 Km from Narbonne, 30 Km from Carcassonne (Airport))

This light and modern decorated 100 year old 'maison de village' is owned by a Dutch/French couple living in Lyon. After having explored the Languedoc Roussillion area for two years they have found their dream holiday home in a typically southern French village surrounded by vineyards.

Siran is located between the beautiful medieval town of Carcassonne and Narbonne with the famous 'Canal du Midi' running through. Only a bike ride away is the Lake Jouarres where one can windsurf and swim. Bikes are available and included in the rental. Siran is a very calm village where its inhabitants play 'jeux de boules' next to the church. In the neighbouring village of Pepieux the world's best red wine was elected out of 9000 samples in 2005!

Siran is a 45 minutes' drive away from Gruissan Plage, a quaint village perched on top of a hill next to a large sandy beach. Other beaches include Narbonne Plage, or Valras. The ideal holiday for relaxation and outdoor fun with worthy places to visit.

The house is very open and bright but offers a cool place in the hot summers. There is a patio which has access from the bedroom downstairs, the kitchen and the livingroom. Ideal for your morning cup of tea! Upstairs there's a terrace in the roof which can be used for sunbathing or a place to read. The house is newly furnished and more pictures will be available as of mid June. The house will be for rent as of June 30, 2007.

Living Room: A large light lounge area with french windows to the garden. TV and DVD player in comfy seating area and dining table next to kitchen. Wooden floors and open fire. Direct access to kitchen, patio, and garden.

Bedroom One with large double bed and toddler bed (sleeps two plus small child).
Bedroom Two with two twin beds (sleeps two).
Bedroom Three with two bunk beds (sleeps four).

1. Downstairs bathroom with bath.
2. Downstairs bathroom with shower and water closet.
3. Water closet upstairs.

Wooden floors in all rooms.

Kitchen: Kitchen with cooker/stove, dishwasher, refrigerator, microwave, and washing machine.

Large garden with view of vineyards. Large wooden dining table with huge parasol and Weber barbeque available. From the garden there is another entrance possibility to the house. During the Winter 2007/2008 a private pool will be added.

Bedlinen and towels included. The house is cleaned on a weekly basis (every Saturday) and the beds are changed as well. Fresh towels, tea towels etc. every week. Vacuum cleaner and washing machine are available, should one wish to clean/wash regularly.

In Siran you will find a bakery, post office, and a cafe/restaurant. In nearby village Olonzac (eight kilometers) are various larger supermarkets.
