Fondly referred to as, The Double D Ranch, this rustic retreat is nestled in the Rocky Mountains on several acres of rolling meadows and majestic Ponderosa Pine. Views take in the 13,000 foot snow-capped Mummy Range. There are numerous hiking trails, fishing lakes, horseback riding, mountain biking, fly-fishing, wildlife photography, and golf just out the front door. The property includes a wide selection of sports equipment for most activities. There are also several restaurants in the area, from rustic to fine dining.
A recently built custom home that's well appointed with luxury features. The great room has 24-foot ceilings with floor to ceiling wood burning fireplace. There are travertine marble floors throughout, with large windows to take in views from every room. The gourmet kitchen has cherry wood cabinets, marble counters, double ovens, and dining can easily accommodate up to ten people. There are three bedrooms, plus a loft overlooking the great room. The master suite includes a claw foot tub, and sliding glass doors to over 800 square feet of decking. The house is equipped with satellite TV, wireless internet, surround sound, including a music library.
The Double D is located 40 minutes North of Fort Collins in Glacier View Meadows, at 7,500 foot elevation. Glacier View is a private community on 6,000 acres of flowering meadows, streams, and woodlands. Life takes on a slower pace here. It's relaxing and peaceful. The only sounds are blue birds singing and aspen leaves rustling in the breeze. The night skies are magical ...a billion stars. You will see deer grazing in the meadows, fox on the hunt, coyotes howling in the distance, and even a cattle drive. This is truly a special place. A serene setting like no other.
We offer tour guides for day hikes, fishing, or to explore the history of the area. Being blessed with the Rocky Mountains in our backyard has inspired our love of photography. We have been photographing Colorado with it's abundant wildlife and incredible scenery for many years now. For the first time, we are offering private photo tours of the area.
