This extraordinary six bedroom residence has truly breathtaking West-facing views through floor to ceiling walls of glass. Amazing features include a solar-heated swimming pool, central air conditioning, six bedrooms, panoramic views, close to beaches and most outdoor recreation including hiking trails, overlooking Honolulu, as well as Pearl Harbor. Just minutes to Waikiki Beach, Kapiolani Park, Ala Moana Beach Park and Lagoon.

This hip retro styled "private resort" blends elements of a tropical spa holiday with easy access to cutting edge urban living. Get a massage and pedicure in the garden. Swim and sun at your own heated pool. Have a personal chef serve a gourmet lunch in the shade, while you gaze at the mesmerizing cityscape. Gift yourself with an afternoon nap, something that is so easy to do in this quiet secluded house in the hills. Hit the big city after sundown for a night out at dance clubs, tiki-lit beach front restaurants, and ocean view bars which feature live local-style slack key guitar music.

At Waikiki Palisades, all furnishings, guest supplies, beds, linens, large and small appliances, kitchen supplies, patio furniture, and electronics are brand new as of this spring. Other thoughtful amenities provided in Waikiki Palisades include a whirlpool jet bathtub, all-cotton robes, towels and bed linens, remote control iLive portable iPod dock/CD/Tuner, flat panel televisions, Lutron lighting, two washer/dryers, high speed wireless internet, and individual room climate controls.

There are three kitchens! The primary kitchen is off the great room. A complete second kitchen is in the lower level studio suite in the guest wing. A third kitchen is in the upstairs suite in the guest wing, and lastly, there is a convenient outdoor half kitchen with a portable BBQ grill off the pool patio near the master bedroom.

Set against the hillside, with solid glass walls that retract to a garden of orchids, ferns, red ti leaf, bromeliads, and bamboo, the master kitchen is fabulous! Available for guest use are two dishwashers, Lenox crystal glasses, Crate & Barrel plate ware, abundant upscale small appliances, an over-sized GE Monogram fridge, track lighting, two sinks, and spacious center island with leather bar stools.

Outdoors, there is a double carport, gated entry, fish pond, and an artfully crafted driveway featuring inlaid grass between paving stones. Abundant reclining chaise lounges are provided around the pool and under various covered patios.

Out in the side garden is a stately monkey pod tree that provides a broad canopy of shade from the afternoon sun. Below this grande dame of trees, is a sitting area with a priceless view of the South Oah`u coastline.

This is one of the first homes offered to visitors in Honolulu that was built using "green" technology. Soft, cool, serene and elegant travertine limestone floors flow from room to room throughout the entire home. Not only are the floors beautiful, but they are cool to the touch.

No other nearby homes have a view into the property, other than from one up-slope villa. We consider the privacy at this home to be ideal, except for swimming in the pool during daylight hours. There are many garden areas where sunning with full privacy is possible.
