The Purple Parrot is unique on all of the island as it is the only "condominium" that offers fully detached, fully furnished, individual units. No hiking groceries up several flights of stairs. No parking in poorly lit garages with slow elevators. No shared walls with loud music, or banging on the ceiling from the guests above. The Purple Parrot offers single family cabanas with spacious balconies and screened porches. From the moment you drive up to your own villa, you'll fall in love with the layout of the complex. The 5000 square foot oasis swimming pool with 2 waterfalls and an island hot-tub is the ultimate in relaxation. Relax pool-side with a Mai Tai from the "Tiki Bar." Another indoor pool is located in the clubhouse along with a modern fitness center, hot tub, showers, and saunas. Conveniently located near the beach, you can lose yourself in the quiet seclusion of the resort, or enjoy a walk on some of the nearby hiking trails. We had a great time at the Purple Parrot Village Resort in Perdido Key. We usually rent a condo in a high-rise building whenever we visit Florida. We had an entire two bedroom cottage to ourselves at the Parrot. Lots of privacy and no waiting for elevators! It was nicely decorated with lots of bright colors & tropical decor. My kids loved the huge pool with the waterfall and center island with the jacuzzi. We were about two blocks from Johnson Beach. There is seven miles of pristine beach there, so you can find your own little private stretch of beach or you can stay where the lifeguards are near the entrance. We loved our stay and will be back next summer! Jessica

My wife, 20 month old son and I stayed at "Hakuna Matata" in April of this year and had a great time. The condo is beautifully decorated and the scenary and beaches are awesome. Can't wait to come back!!! P.S. The golfing is quite imppressive also!

We highly endorse the "Hakuna Matata"!! We stayed there pre and post hurricane Ivan. It's back and better than ever. The amenities are great..all we needed and more. It's unique decor is warm and friendly due to the personal attention of the owners, Tina and John. The resort is very family oriented as is the entire area. The beaches are superb, uncrowded and pristine. Linda & Jim, Mi.
