Why the Owner Chose Private Homes
After visiting the area for many years, we came to realize that Keystone had so much to offer our family and friends during our stays. During the summer months, we are always amazed at the amount of events and activities, for little or no cost, the resorts and surrounding towns have to offer to guests in the area. There is often two to three events a day we could attend, with most of these being within walking or biking distance from our home. Keystone resort offers opportunities for children's activities ranging from culture events with plays and music to fun activities for the children to learn about the environment and local history like panning for gold. We enjoy concerts, farmers markets, biking and boat trips in nearby Dillon, Frisco, Copper Mountain and Vail during the summer months. The weather allows us to enjoy being outside all day and encourages us to build a fire to "take the chill off" in the evenings. During the winter months, we can easily travel to four ski resorts during our visits to keep the experience challenging from year to year. Each resort offers a different type of skiing due the mountains' location and our family is always excited to see what this ski season will have to offer.
The Unique Benefits at this House
At our home, we try to provide all the amenities a family would need to enjoy every aspect Keystone and the surrounding areas have to offer. The home is furnished to accommodate a large group with areas for family time and quiet time. We have tried to make traveling with small children easier by including in the home toys, videos, pack-n-plays and a table mount high chair. We offer items to keep every age level entertained or items to allow for peaceful reflection. While outdoors, we can enjoy the sound of the river, located at the back of the property. The large back yard allows for games and the "boulder mountain" encourages imaginative play for all ages. We have a large deck with a gas grill and a fire-pit for making "s'mores" no matter what the season. There is a ping pong table in the garage, if the weather forces you indoors, for those wanting some friendly competition. The "retro video games" seem to keep children and young adults occupied while parents work in the extensively appointed kitchen. We offer items to allow for cooking of any type, even cookers that can cook while we are out enjoying the area. The hot tub gives everyone an opportunity to relax at the end of the day before watching a movie from our private collection or playing cards at our custom made copper top game table.

We had a great time at the Lazy K home. Check in was quick and easy and they gave us great directions to the house. Staff was very accessible for any questions we had and the shuttle service was a life saver! We also really enjoyed the multiple bikes available in the garage and the hot tub and fire pit were used daily. We had 11 people staying at the home and we were never crowded. Space and bathrooms were always available. We had an excellent stay and I would definitely recommend this location. It was great for a large group of friends or family.

This was a great place to have our wedding party stay for four nights. We also hosted a BBQ and breakfast for all the other family and friends in town during their stay at the Lazy K Home. I would highly recommend this property to any group and working with Key to the Rockies was a flawless experience. The are knowledgeable, flexible, friendly and responsive. I had e-mailed every property management company in Summit County, Colorado, looking for a house to host our wedding party. Key to the Rockies were not only one of only two to respond but they showed us the properties ahead of time so we could pick what would work best for us. You won't got wrong renting this house or from Key to the Rockies.

This is a beautiful, well maintained home. We had a large family gathering and there was plenty of room for everyone to have personal space and relax. The additional bathrooms make it easy for everyone to get ready at the same time. There are enough activites in the home (game, tvs, ping pong, hot tub, books, childrens toys etc.) for all ages to enjoy there stay even if you never left the home. The interior decorating is lovely, the beds are very comfortable with plenty of beding and extra pillows. The laundry is a great extra to keep you going with dry towels day and night (hot tub). The outdoor backyard is fantastic we had a fire several nights and roasted marshmellows and hot dogs. There is lots of space in the fridge and we utilized the fridge downstairs for overflow water and soda and beer. All of our out of town guests want to get together again every year because of the comforts of home and beautiful scenary. Thank you for a fantastic stay.
