We just returned last week from 7 nights in John and Valene's condo and it was wonderful! This was our 3rd trip to Maui but first time staying in the Kaanapali area. My husband and I made this trip without our boys to celebrate my 50th birthday and it was fabulous! The condo was beautiful, the construction noise was actually pretty minimal, and were usually out and about during the day so it wasn't a huge bother. We love the location - it is close to so many things to do. Love the beach walk - we walked almost every morning. Teralani snorkel cruise right off the beach out front. It was a great time and would definitely recommend staying here.

Our very special trip for my wife's birthday started with this nice condo. Much nicer than expected. This is our fourth stay at the Whaler over the last 24 years. This condo is the best unit yet. Great view, great location on the property, one door to the elevator and washers. Very quiet unit with nice quality furnishings. Whaler's Village located next door is very convenient. An excellent place to stay, especially with the construction special rates offered right now. John was very helpful with our dates needed and made this a very smooth transaction especially with his courteous communications. 5 Star rating for sure.

We had a great time - the condo is very clean - nicely decorated and we did not have a problem with the construction noise. We were out of the condo during the day or in the pool. My brother stayed in the condo's without the construction and had continuous noise from an air conditioning unit!! I would say our experience was A+. Thank you

The 3rd floor view is low enough to view the activities on the grass and around the waterfall/pond area high enough to see the beach and ocean. We could see the whales play without binoculars, but do bring them for a better view. Inside the condo is new and very nice. A very romantic place.

We were looking for a spot where we could fit in a quick pre-Christmas break. Some sun, some sand and close to restaurants. #315 The Whaler was perfect on all counts. We have been by The Whaler many times in years past but never stayed at a unit there. We were delighted to find the unit exactly as advertised and we couldn't get over it's absolutely perfect location. It may have been our first visit, but I KNOW it won't be our last. Many thanks to John and Valene for their prompt replies to our queries. I;m already looking forward to next time....

The accommodations are comfortable and cozy. The view is beautiful - especially the sunsets. The front desk staff are wonderfully helpful and friendly, and the owners add a personal touch in their communications.

This condo was exactly as advertised. Great view and located right next to the Whaler Village and the beach just footsteps away. The pool area and grounds very nice. The owners John and Valene were so helpful with things to do and see on the Island and even helped me retrieve something I left behind. Great experience!!!

My wife and I spent a week for our 25th anniversary and there and could not have been more pleased with the location, unit, ammenities, and value. The beach in front was superb and Black Rock was a short walk on beach for snorkeling. There were many restaurants and shopping within walking distance. The unit itself was very nicely updated with new appliances and the bed was comfortable. Prior to renting, my wife had apprehension about staying in a condo vs. a hotel, but she ended up being very happy with the decision and the flexibility (and I was pleased with the cost differential with a beachfront hotel v/ ocean view). One nice advantage was throwing the 2 chaise lounge chairs in the closet into the car and driving to nearby Honoloa Bay or DT Flemming beach (which have much more shade than Kaanapali beach - and better snorkeling and/or body surfing).

Bill and I just had a fabulous week at Kaanapali Beach at the Whaler 315. It was truly awesome! It was just like it was advertised. Very homey and we had breakfast on the lanai quite a few mornings. We would recommend this condo. Perfect for two people. Mahalo!

Our stay at the Whaler Unit 315 was wonderful. Everything about the condo was perfect: the beautiful decor, comfortable bed, and upgraded kitchen and bathroom. There were so many extras in the room (DVD and CD player, flat screen TV, books on Maui and other informaton on activities in the area) we felt very much at home. The view from the lanai was spectacular. The Whaler is in a great location, just minutes to the beach, shopping and restaurants. We are looking forward to returning to Maui, next time for a longer visit and would defintely stay in this condo again if it's available. We have many fond memories of our holiday vacation. We just returned from a wonderful vacation on Kauai and Maui. One of the highlights of our visit to Maui was listening to the ocean gently roll in each night as we fell asleep in this beautiful condominium at the Whaler. We also loved sitting on balcony enjoying the perfect view. Staying in 315 felt like being a guest in a friend's home... there were special touches everywhere and drawers stocked with every cooking utensil you'd need. We're already homesick... and wish we could go back tomorrow. Carole and Peter

We stayed at The Whaler, unit 315, in November and loved it! The studio is highly upgraded- granite, nice cabinets, stainless steel, and a beautiful tile mosaic in the shower- much more upgraded than other units I peeked at. The condo is very clean, and the kitchen was well equiped. We were going to stay in a ocean view hotel room next door, but we chose here because we had a hotel room plus a full kitchen! And, everything was totally upgraged. The view was excellent, if not better than an a standard hotel ocean view room. From the room, you get views of the beautiful new courtyard, and from the balcony, the view of the ocean was spectacular. The owner's website pics are really true to reality. What I liked too, was the location of the laundary and elevators to the room. They both were very close, and not noisy at all. I will definitely stay here again, at the right price, and would recommend this unit to any couple wanting a nice, quiet getaway to Maui.

Just got back from a wonderful week in your condo. Everything looked exactly as it did on the website and we were very pleased with how well the suite was equipped. With all day sunshine on the lanai, we enjoyed having our breakfast there and watching the sunset in the evening. Will definitely stay there again and will recommend it to everyone I know.

We recently returned from a wonderful vacation in Maui! We loved your condo and thank you for allowing us to stay there. We found it to be lovely! We were celebrating our 30th anniversary and had a dream vacation! The condo was just as we had pictured from your website pictures and description, and so conveniently located to so many things. The accommodations were perfect for us, and we loved the view of the courtyard and ocean off the lanai where we often ate our breakfast. We had everything we needed there and then some. We didn't even have to use our own beach towels! John and Valene were so great to work with. A special thanks for the nice gift basket awaiting us there. 8/11/09 We just got back from our 30th anniversary get away and we truly enjoyed our stay. Your condo was warm, welcoming , and comfortable . The mattress was great, the couch and chairs were something you could truly relax in. We appreciated the extra towels since I had no intentions of doing any laundry during the week.The little extras came in handy, especially when you only need one or two of something. Everything was very clean and like new . The lanai was sparkling and comfortable, including the furniture. It was the perfect setting for breakfast in the morning or any meal for that matter. The breeze allowed us to open the sliding doors and close the screens for a peaceful nights sleep. It was wonderful !!!The location of the condo gave you such a picture perfect view of the ocean and surroundings and allowed you easy assess to the walkway along the shoreline and surrounding hotels. Every view along that walkway was wonderful. We thank you for sharing your home with us. I hope someday we can return. It was a long trip but a great memory.
