We just got back from a long weekend trip up to VT to check out the fall folliage and loved staying at this cabin. Much bigger than it looks in the pictures and even more charming. Would definitely go back!

We just returned from our trip to this very charming home about 2 weeks ago, and I must admit I was sad to leave. The pictures here do not do the house it's justice. It is a very large home and very well taken care of. The layout was great for two families as there were 3 full baths one on each floor. The children enjoyed the sleeping area in the basement. Everything about this house was absolutely a perfect setting for our family vacation. The state park was just a short drive down the road, and we spent a few days at the beach there. All in all it was a vacation we will never forget! Thanks for sharing your home with us!!

Thank you so much for sharing your home with us for the 2011 ski season. What a time we all had! The house has such a warmth and coziness to it -- absolutely perfect after a long day of skiing. We also really enjoyed the beautiful setting. Being surrounded by all of the evergreen and birch trees made snowy mornings simply spectacular. We were truly sad to pack up our things when spring arrived. We really had a memorable winter. Thank you again! PS - We were also pleasantly surprised with how easy it was to get to and from the mountain. Definitely a plus!

If you are looking for the perfect VT get way........look no further, during any season. The owners are a pleasure to work with, quick to respond and very professional. The rental price of the house is also a steal, you will not find a nicer spot for the money, period. The house was spotless, well cared for and much larger than expected. Looking very cute from the outside, you will be surprised at it's size including a full daylight basement with full bath and sleeping quarters in the lower level. The great room with valuted ceiling is also very nice and the interior is cozy. The kitchen was fully stocked with all you need for cooking (minus food of course).......and the beds are comfortable. The house could easily provide room for two families. Location, location, location. It's the perfect location, up on the mountain. The property sits back off of a long driveway, nice and quiet. It sits above Echo Lake which means there is plenty do during any season. A 10 min walk or 2 min drive has you at the State beach on Echo lake. For $5 you're set for the day. Pack a lunch and enjoy. Food is available, boat rental, there is a little sandy beach for the kids and the lake was warm (late summer) Okemo is only 5 mins away, drive to the top or hike, mountain bike, or try the new mountain coaster. In the winter enjoy Okemo mtn that was ranked as #4 overall on the east coast for skiing (Ski Mag 2010) The town of Ludlow is only 10 mins away with restaurants and of course some shopping. Only 30 mins away is the charming town of Woodstock, or go and see Killington. You can also hit Bromley with the kids, they have lots of summer fun for kids (alpine slide, etc). Long story short........whether you have kids or don't.......want things to do or are looking for a quiet weekend.........this is the spot. Enjoy the winter activities and sitting by the cozy fire reading a book..........the beautiful fall leaves.............or the nice warm summer days and cool nights.........this place is for everyone. I can't say enough about what a great experience my family had renting this property. I'll return as often as possible Enjoy!
