  We rented this condo for 5 months during the renovation of our home. In the last week of our stay I finally opened blinds on a warm day (stay was Sept. thru Jan. so we did not need to open windows during wintertime nor does it have a gulf view so we never looked in window sills). To our dismay the ENTIRE condo's windows inside walls & sheetrock in ALL ROOMS were filled with growing black mold. We moved out immediately & called mgr who came to inspect property. We requested she contact the owner for a some remedy & rent refund after having mold test done that came back as "toxic w//health concerns". We also experienced skin rashes, itchy skin, watery eyes and nosebleeds during our stay. We had no idea what a health risk this condo was but just assumed it was the nasty, dirty, old carpet that needed desperately replaced. The owner said they would have no mediation nor any form of compensation due to subjecting us to growing mold for 5 months. We have consulted an attorney to pursue the owners to provide complete cleaning documentation by a PROFESSIONAL mold cleaning co. NOT just the condo cleaning crew that was to clean after our departure. We are also in the process of reporting this condo the the Walton Health Dept. to possibly keep what happened to us to someone else. The stress and future health concerns by the owners and property mgmt co, neglect was inexcusable. This unit still remains on the rental property list and it should be REMOVED. IT WAS ALSO DISAPPOINTING THAT THE OWNERS & PROPERTY MGMT COMPANY TREATED OUR CLAIM AS INSIGNIFICANT & NOT A HEALTH ISSUE. THIS IS THE WORST EXPERIENCE WE HAVE EVER HAD IN THE 23 YEARS WE HAVE BEEN COMING TO PANHANDLE !!!!

  Owner response: This guest rented the property for 6months while their house was being built. Unfortunately they used the bedroom as a storage unit during the time. The air vents were shut off and the blinds were left closed. With the Florida humidity, condensation built up on the window and caused mold in the window seal. When the guest was departing, they found the mold and contacted our office. We immediately cleaned the area and had a mold remediation company air quality test all of the condo. The test report came back with a small amount of poor air quality. We then had the mold remediation company clean the area. Air scrubbers were in the condo for 2 weeks. We then had the company retest the air quality and the report came back perfect. After speaking with the guest, they were not satisfied with the fact that we were not going to refund their 6 month stay because the mold was caused by their negligence. We strongly believe in great customer service and want our guest to enjoy their stay as much as possible. We will do everything we can to make sure that is done.

  We had a wonderful time this year in Seagrove Beach. We have rented another unit in this complex last year, but felt that this unit was much more comfortable. It was beautifully decorated, but we didn't feel that our children were not welcome. All of the amenities of home were provided. This 2nd story unit allowed us to keep an eye on the children in the pool while enjoying the shaded patio. The walk to the beach really was only a few minutes away and the beach was beautiful! We would definitely recommend this rental to others and will look forward to staying here again! And, the rental company was very responsive and attentive to our inquiries and needs. Would definitely give them an A+!
