And no vacation adventure on a lake is complete without a canoe, so explore the serene Siltcoos Lake and its excellent fishing holes with the three person canoe that the View Point vacation home provides! Tie up your boat for daily adventures on the lake, or bring your kayaks to paddle from the house out to the ocean estuary via the Siltcoos River Trail. The 3-mile stretch of the Siltcoos River Trail provides the opportunity to experience the lake, river and ocean all in the same trip! This river is so ideal for paddlers that it's a “designated canoe trail”.
Inside the Viewpoint you will find a modern kitchen with top-of-the-line appliances, well appointed and large enough for several chefs. The kitchen opens out to the spacious living room and dining area all furnished with your comfort and relaxation in mind.
Enjoy plenty of room to stretch as you wind down from a hard days play along the Florence coast. Relax in front of the warm and cozy fireplace. Watch your favorite movie on the large screen TV. Use the telescope to spot osprey, eagles and heron. Choose from a variety of games to play. Or just kick back in the company of friends and family while soaking up the amazing views.
Rest comfortably in any of the luxurious beds (three queen-sized, one full-sized, and one full-sized futon all with down comforters, soft cotton sheets, and plenty of down pillows). . The master bedroom and 2nd bedroom offer dazzling views of the lake and surrounding shores, both allowing walk-out access to the deck. The third bedroom with its custom built-in desk and computer for on-line access has views of the fabulous gardens that surround the home.
For a little privacy, the elegant guest house above the garage sleeps 4 people with a queen sized bed in the bedroom and a full sized futon in the living/dining area. The guest house has a full bath and a kitchenette with refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker and electric skillet as well as all the utensils and amenities for preparing and enjoying simple meals. The living area also includes a flat screen TV with cable channels & DVD player. The guest house offers views of the beautiful yard and gardens as well as views overlooking the main house and lake.
For those who need or want to “stay connected” while on vacation, the Viewpoint has you covered. The home is equipped with wireless internet service, a desktop computer, cable TV with a wide variety of movie and music channels, as well as local phone service.
Outside the home, the magnificently landscaped garden and yard is the perfect place to sip your morning coffee or afternoon tea and relax while listening to the sweet sounds of the birds and water gently cascading down the sculptured rock creek to the pond. The lower deck on the lake side of the house has a charming area for outdoor meals including a picnic table and cast iron chiminea. A gas BBQ grill is also available for your use.
There is so much to explore in and around the Viewpoint. You will never be bored. Enjoy the wonderful bistros, cafes and restaurants in Old Town Florence on Bay Street. Explore the shops and galleries where local artists as well as others from around the world display and sell their sculptures, crafts and works of art.
