'Tennessee 3' is a great getaway home in a great location (about 100 yards from the ocean). It's close to the hustle and bustle of all Myrtle Beach has to offer, but far enough away to hide from the crowds. It is spacious and well-appointed with big bedrooms and a large open Great Room.
This home sleeps up to 12 people with 2 King bedrooms, 2 bedrooms with 2 Full/Doubles, and a queen size sleeper sofa. All of the rooms are uniquely decorated with beautiful, tasteful decor.
The kitchen is very well-appointed with everything you need to make this your home away from home - toaster oven, blender, lots of dishes and cooking utensils, wine glasses, and more.
The rear deck has beautiful views of the marsh and is on a canal connecting to the beautiful intercoastal waterway. From the front porch, you can enjoy the rocking chairs while sipping your morning coffee. Both the beach and the salt marsh are less than a 5 minute walk away.
There is covered parking, and outdoor closets to store all your beach stuff or bikes. We've tried to think of everything! Come enjoy - escape to the beach!
We will only rent to families or adult groups ages 26 and up.
We try extremely hard to keep our home clean, safe and comfortable as possible for an older Cherry Grove home but as you know with all rental property not everything will be modern as you may have at your home but our families really enjoy our time here and we hope you will as well. We do ask that you don't have expectations of an expensive type resort for this price we charge.

- the house has a beautiful canal adjoining the intercoastal waterway. Great for fishing and "crabbing". We have crab nets available for use. We also have an outdoor shower for rinsing off when coming back from the beach.

Owner Description
Year Purchased: 1978
This Home was purchased in 1978 by 3 families from which they all were born in Tennessee, hence the name.
Three sons from one of the original owners families have the property now and really enjoy the home albeit it is very expensive to keep up. This is one of the reasons we rent the property to help with the annual costs to our home.
Why the Owner Chose Private Homes
The original owners enjoyed spending time at Cherry Grove and this is still a very family friendly beach.
The Unique Benefits of this House
The outdoor shower is used as the main shower when we stay. It is most refreshing on hot summer nights.
Sitting on the front porch in the evening is very relaxing area to socialize.

Dirty! Had to cover the furniture with our sheets and keep our shoes on. No hot water for showers. Only upside was the proximity to the beach--very close.

We enjoyed the stay at the Tennesse 3 house. The house is a bit dated inside, however it's a fair trade off for the price. The house accomdated four adults and six children comfortably. We rented a golf cart for the week to travel back and forth to the beach. However, it was close enough to walk to. The location is great. Thanks for a great vacation.
Recommended for:Families with teenagers, girls getaway, families with young children.
