Located in Rio Vermelho, the bohemian and cultural district of Salvador, the location for the famous Yemanjá Festival, on February 2. Secluded neighborhood, privacy, yet 10 min by taxi to the Carnaval route. Perfect location for slipping in and out of Carnaval party to take a dip in the ocean on the nice neighborhood beach directly across from building. (see picture and owners website link) Excellent restaurants and the famous African street foods of Salvador. There is a taxi station across from back entrance of the building which offers you transportation to the key points of Salvador in five to ten minutes. In the vicinity, one can find bus stop, supermarket, drugstore, and laundry services and many interesting shops.

The Mirante apartment is a spacious apartment on the seventh floor, with a indoor large granite veranda with ocean view. Furnished with Bahia antique furniture, three bedrooms and two bathrooms: suite bedroom with marble bathroom, has queen size bed, hydro-jet tub and large shower. Second bedroom has a king size bed and additional single bed. Third room has a Hide-a-bed for two. TV, and ethernet hook up. The second bathroom has a large shower. Closets in all bedrooms.

  • For many years we've wanted to go to Bahia, Brazil, but didn't see how to make it a family trip, yet still romantic and safe with having to cram children in separate or adjoining hotel rooms, if there are any to accommodate. After reviewing your site, seeing the space within a new apartment with views and updated kitchen appliances, our family has decided to plan a vacation with your rental for 2009! The ocean & city views, updated appliances with shopping nearby, plus closeness to beach are just what we were looking for. We are now excited to start planning our first trip to Brazil!
