This four bedroom Yellowstone River Vacation Rental is located on the Eastern edge of Livingston, Montana with fabulous views of the rugged Absaroka Mountains to the South, and the Crazy Mountain range to the East. The Yellowstone River is right out the back door - perfect for a Fly Fishing Vacation!
The Montana Rental Cabin has a rustic, western style with use of recycled barnwood and metal in the design. A small creek, actually the North fork of the Yellowstone River, flows right past the deck in the back yard. The creek has beavers, ducks, geese and otter to entertain those who just want to relax on the back deck.
Across the creek is a large city park called Mayor's Landing. For those willing to brave a creek crossing, the main Yellowstone River is within sight and just a two minute walk from the back door. A large beaver dam helps to cross the creek with dry feet!
The Montana Vacation Cabin is located on the Eastern edge of Livingston, Montana. Three blocks away is a great little coffee shop, and the main part of town with shopping and restaurants is 10 to 15 blocks from the house. It is just under an hour drive to Yellowstone National Park, and about 45 minutes to Bozeman's Gallatin Field airport.
There are four bedrooms in the home and four full bathrooms. On the main level of the home is a master bedroom with king size bed and an attached private bath with stall shower.
The second bedroom is set up with a twin over double bunk bed. There is a full bath with tub and shower out in the hallway.
Upstairs is a second master bedroom with king size bed and attached bath with a double shower. A private balcony off this room is a great place for sipping a cup of coffee or cocktail while watching the Yellowstone River flow past. This king size bed may also be separated into two extra long twin beds for more flexible sleeping arrangements.
The second upstairs bedroom has a queen size bed and a single pullout sofa bed, and a full bathroom with tub and shower out in the hall. This second upstairs bedroom is also set up with a second television for some quiet movie watching. Anglers Rest can accommodate up to ten guests (in seven separate beds).
The home has a complete kitchen with a gas range and oven, dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker and grinder, blender -- all the essentials! You will have all the cookware and serving ware you need for your crew. A fantastic gas grill is out on the deck for barbecues.
The dining area is just off the kitchen, with an oak table that seats six to eight comfortably. There are four tall leather barstools at the kitchen island for overflow. The wrap around deck is set up with plenty of seating for those outdoor meals, as well as a hammock for an afternoon nap.
The cozy living room is centered around the fireplace (gas-fired), which makes a great place for relaxing after a day of hiking, fishing or exploring. The living area is set up with a flat screen television with satellite service and DVD/VCR player, and a stereo system with CD player and ipod hookup.
For a quieter evening, head out to the hot tub out back, listen to the creek and do some star-gazing! This home has it all for your Montana family vacation or fishing retreat.

The home is unique in its convenient town location, yet from the back deck, there are no other homes in sight - just the river and the mountains... it's really quite special.

My husband and I built our vacation rental in Livingston in 2007. We live just 20 minutes away, in the mountains between Bozeman and Livingston. The property is on the edge of town, yet has the Yellowstone River out the back door. We may possibly move into the home when we retire, but for now, we are sharing it with visitors who love Yellowstone Country in the meantime. Enjoy!

The house is wonderful - we loved the views and the awesome hot tub. It was wonderful after a hot summer day to retreat here for movies and an evening soak.

The accommodations are wonderful. Enjoyed visiting our daughter that attends MSU. Sam, the dog, was well behaved and enjoyed his visit too. Trips to Yellowstone, Virginia City and Bozeman were wonderful. The kids relaxed in the hot tub while we tested our fishing skills.

We loved the house! It was a perfect place to host the immediate family to the bride! We were 10 people from southern California and the house fit very comfortably. The views in the morning were wonderful, and the coffee shop Cafe d'Arte off O Street was a great early morning walk for coffee. The balcony served as a lovely location to write our vows!! We loved it!
