Perfect retreat with warm hospitality

This two bedroom "apartment" was perfect for me. Fully equipped kitchen, large sitting area, two balconies with a third floor deck. Only used the air conditioners at night. It is located by the air strip and about a 10-15 minute walk to town. As a New Yorker, I love to walk but a bike is quicker if you are in a hurry. Located on a lovely landscaped lot, very private with large palms and exotic orchids. The property is in good condition, clean, and obviously well loved by the owner. Zeke may or may not be in residence... he has the unit directly above the one I rented. I came with two small dogs.........they loved it. Was joined for a week by my daughter and her two children ........again... they loved it. Will return to Caye Caulker........restful, relaxing....and Zeke is a gracious host.

My family of 5, including 3 little boys, stayed at Casa Roja during the first week of April. Casa Roja is definitely one of the more modern homes on the island. It is located in a quiet area close to the airstrip, and just a short bike ride away from the village. The 2 bedroom apartment was perfect for our needs. The rooftop palapa had amazing 360 degree views - the big decision was which way to face our chairs. The boys enjoyed watching the planes land and take off from the airstrip. We didn't do a lot of cooking, but the kitchen seemed well equiped. I would recommend renting some bikes to get around. I regret Zeke was out of the country while we were there. He was very friendly and easy to work with, and we would have liked to meet him in person! We did the all day snorkel trip with Raggamuffin. Our captains, Patrick and Shane were terrific. I would highly recommend them! We ate at Little Kitchen, Caye Caulker Pizza, Sand Box, and Syd's for dinner, Glenda's for lunch, and the Bakery for breakfast - all very good!

the perfect getaway

Loved our time on Caye Caulker, and Zeke was a great host! Having him on site was a big plus - very helpful with tips on what to do and what to see, and yet left us alone enough so we felt the place was ours. Very nice place for two couples to share - the big kitchen was a nice plus, and the dual bedroom-bathroom setup made it easy. Be sure to take advantage of the palapa up top. Super convenient to the airport, and an easy walk or bicycle ride to town. We'd definitely consider renting again. Thanks, Zeke!

Very nice and clean house. Great for two couples on vacation or family of four to five. Everything on this island is literally a few minutes away with excellent places to eat and enjoy all the very friendly locals. Zeke provides you with a warm welcome and offers you a fantastic place to stay while you engage in relaxation. 45 minute water taxi ride from Belize City. Well worth the stay! Perfect Getaway Location

We are packed up and NOT ready to go. This is the perfect location to be out of the center of town yet only a short stroll or quick bike ride. Zeke is very accommodating and helpful getting you acquainted; although it does not take long to figure your way around. Do not miss Wish Willy's for dinner...Tell Maurice and Monique that Dawnette sent you!
