Why the Owner Chose Raystown Lake
The Hoffmans and the Swopes grew up in the area, and after having families of their own they decided this would be a great way to give back to the community they love and encourage others to come and enjoy all that Raystown has to offer.
"At the HOPE HOUSE circa 1843 if only these walls could talk!"
We also enjoy helping folks with there stay by recommending things to do and sites to see. Since we came from the area we have some inside advantages.

Great Weekend at Raystown!

Our family had a great stay in this home. There were five adults and a baby, and we did not feel too cramped. The only downsides were that there was only one bathroom, no dishwasher, and the house is right in town so it there are other homes close by. But, regardless of those things, our stay was wonderful. The house is close to the lake, state parks, and other interesting tourist spots. It also has a nice covered back porch with a grill and table, a yard with a fire pit, plenty of parking, and air conditioners in each room. The owners of the home were also very accomodating and friendly. All in all, we had a great time and would recommend this home to other Raystown Lake visitors!

The Guys Getaway - We've made a yearly trip to Raystown fall fishing for a few years now and have always enjoyed the lake and the local hospitality. Hope House has become our new "Go To" for lodging. Seven men stayed here and truly appreciated all aspects of our stay. Thank you and God willing we will return next fall.

Some of our best times were just hanging out here, talking on the porch, watching ovies and counting our blessings in the Hope House. Enjoyed the fruits of your labor with all of the exposed brick, etc. Thanks for sharing.

We had a great time with our family. The location of the Hope House was ideal - close to Aitch Boat launch, Trough Creek Park and the resort. Enjoyed the open floor plan of the main level, fire pit and porch.

We had a wonderful weekend at the Hope House. We were attending a family reunion in Saxton. We sat on the porch chatting and laughing half the evening. It was truly enchanting. Thanks for opening your lovely home to us.

What a delight & blessing. We sang @ the camp fire ring. Praised god as the stars sparkled & the flames danced. The bluegrass band at the amphitheater concert had us clapping and the cruise on the princess added extra zest of fun. We hope to see you again. Fantastic and thoughtful owners!
