Three of us 60 year old girls spent 3 nights here in january. Theresa the manager was great to work with. She came over as soon as she got our message to fix the television. The house is decorated so nicely. The beds were comfortable. Everything was clean and well taken care of. The hot tub didn't ever get warm enough, so that was a bit disappointing. Also, one thing I would suggest is to,add at least 2 chais to the kitchen table, as that is the only place to sit and eat breakfast. Two chairs were not enough. I would recommend this house.

We could not have been more pleased with the home. The property manager was prompt, friendly and very accommodating. The home was in a great neighborhood and close to grocery stores, banks and Starbucks. It was clean, in great condition and exactly as appears in the photos.

Stayed at this home in Napa for a weekend away with friends. Central Napa location, closer to San Francisco and the Bay Area than Yountville or Saint Helena. Although the City of Napa is not as upscale a location as further up the valley, this house was perfect for our occasion. We didn't mind the transitional neighborhood or driving to restaurants and the vineyards. The house itself is well maintained with all the kitchen accessories that you'll need to cook dinner or brew coffee. Even an old-school computer with Internet access if you need it. The outdoor jacuzzi and gazebo were a fun addition for evening activities. We even did a morning yoga session on the lawn! It is a good value for the money, and the rental agent was a pleasure and very prompt at returning emails. Thank you for a wonderful stay a your getaway in Napa!!!

We stayed at the house for a girls weekend getaway. We had a great time and the house worked out perfect. The house is very clean and tidy. We used the outdoor patio which was a wonderful place to finish the day. The house is in a location. Close to downtown and the Napa Wineries. Teresa was very helpful and responded quickly to our questions when we called her. Thanks for making our weekend and vacation a great one.

Teresa: Our stay at the Napa Valley Getaway made our vacation complete. The amenities (shampoo, conditioner), kitchen made it very comfortable to stay here. Thank you for the instructions on the TV and remotes also. We enjoyed the hot tub and relaxing outdoors while cooking on the grill. Its so nice that we don't want to leave in the morning! (Don't worry; we will check out by 11am.) Thank you again for coordinating all the details ahead of time. Amy

Perfect location in Napa- very central to everything-Down Town Napa with many restaurants and shops- we love Taqueria Rosita- and the movie theatre. Super Safeway in walking distance, well groomed neighbourhood with nice and very friendly people (perfect to have a walk around after a great lunch in the garden, where the kids had a blast, while the adults had good food on the grill)- the house is very spacious and offers it all: everybody loved the TV and Hifi, the computer is great to have for music, internet and skype (there is no telephone to be reached), nice and easy handling of all products- wheter electronic, kitchen or washing devices. If anything is unclear, the manager of the house turns up faster than the police (we put nightlights in the electrical outlets and unhooked the internet unknown- the problem was solved within 5 minutes). Fantastic sports possibility on Silverado Trails- we even used nearby Napa High Schools running track for jogging- the best is to return to a luxurious hottub- wellness every day! Lots of space for luggage in the closets and big kitchen with big fridge. Outside Gazebo is the perfect family gathering. We give the house 1000 points out of a 100.

Wonderful house with all conveniences. Walking distance to downtown. Fun neighborhood character. Huge kitchen perfect for family gathering. Well stocked with utensils. Secluded yard. BBQ. Hot tub could use better maintenance. Multiple TV's had clunky cable w/ AT&T. Minor items though. Would definitely engage house again in future. Friendly and helpful management.

We spent a long weekend in Napa with our 3 adult children. We enjoyed every minute of it. Rather than staying in a hotel, we rented this home for all of us. It allowed us to spend time with one another for the full 4 days. We enjoyed the big screen TV/Bose surround sound, outdoor gazebo and hot tub. We found the location to be perfect. We spent one day in Napa and another in Sonoma. The location had easy access to both. We had a minor problem with the smoke detectors but was fixed by the time we returned in the evening. This was our first rental with VRBO but it will not be our last.

My visit to the Napa Valley Getaway was perfect and I was thoroughly satisfied with my stay. The house was clean and cozy. I loved the huge TV and Bose system. I had a couple of movie nights with my husband and relaxed on the comfortable couches all weekend. This was the perfect quick getaway from the craziness of San Francisco!

I visited Napa with my husband and two daughters and I'm extremely satisfied with our decision to stay at the Napa Valley Getaway. The rooms were decorated in their own unique way and I loved the layout. The gazebo was perfect for BBQing and the front porch furniture was a wonderful touch to really bring the comfort of the house together. I highly recommend!

After all these years of vacationing in Napa, I've finally found my favorite vacation rental! I loved the colors of the house. The white cabinets and hardwood floors really gave you the Napa country feel, but the furnishings were modern and up to date. I will definitely be coming back for another trip soon!

The listing gave the impression you would be in an "old Town Napa" setting! Very misleading. There is guys covered with tatoos putting engines in vehicles right across the street. I did not feel safe so we left early and drove back to San Francisco to spend our last night in California. The only thing you are in walking distance is your car so you can get into it and drive somewhere! There is nothing in the Old Town Napa. You must drive 30 minutes to Helena or Calistoga to get to the beauty of the Napa Valley so why not stay somewhere near those communities. The yard was not mowed or well kept. The tolet needed plunging after every use in the master bathroom. The out door eating area and gazebo was covered with cob webs. For the amount of money you spend for this house you could enjoy a nice right down the road in the winery area. We were very disappointed and would not recommend this place to anyone.
Owner response:My name is James and I am the property manager at Napa Valley Getaway. The first issue I would like to address is the toilet in the master bedroom. The toilet has never had a problem before and I have checked it multiple times since the complaint and it is working one hundred percent. The garden and the gazebo the week you stayed was not maintained properly as our Gardener who comes once a week for his service, left town on a family emergency. We are regretful that the outside was not well manicured for you and sincerely apologize for it. You notified me the night of your departure at 8 PM that you were not going to be staying at the house and have left town to stay in San Francisco. We didn't have time to discuss what we could do to accommodate. We would have been more than happy to help make your stay satisfactory with timely communication. We strongly encourage guests to call the contact person with any questions or concerns during their stay. We strive to provide each and every person with a memorable and pleasant experience in the Napa Valley. Kind Regards, James

We only stayed a few nights around New Years '09/'10, but it was wonderful. The house was clean. The beds were comfortable and the location was great. I only wish we could have enjoyed the outside more. It was a little too cold that time of year to enjoy the jacuzzi. Thanks again and the next time we visit Napa, we would definitely stay here!

What a GEM! This was the perfect house to introduce my friends to Napa. The house was so lovely, but the backyard was the best part. Spent our mornings and evenings dining and relaxing in the wonderful garden. The kitchen was huge and made it easy to prepare meals. (a bit lacking on glasses and stemware and sharp knives though) The neighborhood was so quaint and the tiny Mexican take out place had great food! An easy walk to the grocery store and tasting rooms in downtown. Don't miss the Chef's Market on Thursday evenings. Oxbow Market, tasting rooms, and restaurants are an easy stroll and eliminate the need for a "designated driver." This house is a great value and I highly recommend it. We also rented the detached studio which was just as perfect.

We recently stayed in this cottage for 4 nights. There were 6 of us, My husband and myself, our Son and Daughter-In-Law and two granddaughters ages 4 & 6. The cottage is arranged for privacy and we had plenty of room. It would also accommodate 6 adults as well. The cottage is exactly as pictured. It is beautifully decorated and has nice appliances. It is very clean. The back yard area was great for the girls to run and play. The hot tub was very nice and clean. It is conveniently located. Although we had appliances for coffee and cooking, there was a Starbucks nearby that we went to each morning and a pretty little "pink" pastry shop across from Starbucks where we got pastries and brought back to the cottage for breakfast. The pastries were wonderful. We are very particular about where we stay but I would go back here and stay in a minute. It was a perfect setting and we enjoyed our stay very much.

The house was perfect for a reunion with my college girlfriends! Very nicely decorated, plenty of space, and the hot tub was a nice bonus. Although it is not in the most picturesque area of the valley, you can't beat the price! We will definitely keep this house in mind for future visits.

The house is decorated well and nice and clean; it provided our group with a delightful home away from home. The outdoor space is lovely; we jumped in the hot tub every night and sat out in the gazebo for our morning coffee. It's also a short walk from downtown Napa. We hope to return some day!

What a gem! We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves in this cute little house. It was clean, smelled fresh and the hot tub and grill were seriously used to kick back after a stressful day of wine tasting bliss. Make sure you go to the Buttercream Bakery and Diner (2297 Jefferson) for a little breakfast treat en route to the wineries! Will recommend it to our friends and return. Thanks. Ann and John

We stayed at the property with our 4 children for a wedding. IT was a heat wave, but cooled off nicely in the evening. The hot tub was a huge plus, very pleasant in the early morn and evening to relax. The property has been VERY beautifully updated with every amenity that you could need. Top notch decor and wonderful backyard/garden/patio area. We are looking forward to returning to enjoy Napa!

Great Experience. The home is clean and modern with an inviting feel. Located near the Embassy Suites (important to us because we were attending a conference) and downtown. We brought our 1 year old and he did just fine after we baby locked a few cabinets. The backyard space was marvelous with covered eating area, grass, and hot tub. Definitely a worthwhile experience!

Stayed here in March for the Napa Valley marathon. A beautiful home in a convenient location. We soaked up the sunshine in the backyard, stargazed in the hot tub, and slept soundly on the very comfortable high-quality beds. The cable TV wasn't working during our stay but the internet was, which was very convenient (I'd recommend a printer for out-of-town guests to print directions, itineraries, etc.) The owners were responsive, informative, kind when we called with questions. We took the owner up on two of his recommendations for places to eat - Rutherford Grill and Taylors were both perfect! This was a top-notch place - we would definitely stay here again!

This was a wonderful find. We've vacationed in the Napa/Sonoma area more than a dozen times and this was the first stay at a home. We will never stay at a B&B/Hotel again! The accomodations - comfy beds, contemporary bathrooms, living areas and complete kitchen (we did Thanksgiving dinner for seven) made your home seem like it was our own home away from home. The hot tub and gazebo in the backyard... nice addition! We will come back soon.
