This two story ski-in/ski-out two bedroom condominium is situated at the base of Aspen Mountain, a.k.a. "Ajax" between the Little Nell, Silver Queen Gondola and chair lift 1A. Beautifully renovated condo with luxurious finishes, gourmet kitchen, w/d, flat screens in each room. This condo contains tall ceilings and floor to ceiling windows where you can see the world famous Ruthies Run. The oval heated pool and jacuzzi face south on a deck overlooking the town of Aspen.
Because of this condo’s central location you will not need a car to enjoy what Aspen has to offer. Both the ski lifts and town only a mere block away. For those not skiing, you are in close proximity to world famous shopping, dining and spas. If you do not ski, you are steps away from the St, Regis Hotel's spa. Grew up ski racing in Blue Knob, Pa. LAke PLacid ,NY, Swiss Alps, VAil Co, Mult-week trips to Las Lenas, Argentina, French Alps, Austrian Alps, and been racing in Aspen Town Series for last 15 seasons, and also enjoy back country skiing in Aspen Highlands. In summer, I love to cycle, once I rode over to Vail to eat dinner with my brother, and we rode back togther next AM, to go to the Jazz Aspen Music Festival. I really enjoy the town at night, the resturants, galleries, and it really has the best night life. I had a New Years Eve party 6 times with 500 people at the Sky Hotel with a few friends, between 2004-2009, not sure if I will do that anymore. In General I love being in Aspen in the winter, its the best! I have met so many people from all over the world from skiing, and get to hang out with the best of them here.
Why the Owner Chose Aspen
I had grown up skiing here with my family. We had the best time, and stayed in every rental condo in town. It was always are dream to have our own place. Many of the condos were too from from the heart of skiing and action, and required waiting around for buses, shleping heavy stuff back and forth, or not wanting to go back to town, especially if it 10 degrees out, at night. Or would hear buses and party people, all the time while on vacation. This unit # 106 is on the hill, facing the hill, not the town. On the one side you are the first on the hill, and its peacefull and calm day and night, If you walk down a block you are on Durant street right in downtown Aspen very, " Town & Country" the best of both worlds, plus it has a nice heated pool and jacazzi facing south.
