Stylish Elegance Amidst Gardens, Galleries & Shops of Chelsea
Year Purchased: 1990
Why the Owner Chose Kensington & Chelsea
I bought the apartment in 1990 and completely refurbished it in 2007. The Sloane Square area was a natural choice for me because of the "buzz" that personifies Sloane Square and The King's Road.
The Unique Benefits at this Apartment
Since I first bought the flat, things have only got better. The recent development of The Duke of York Barracks has brought many interesting shops and charming restaurants to the area. I love to take walks around the vicinity as there are parks and gardens in abundance close by.
Another advantage of living at the apartment is that transport to the rest of London is so easy by tube (from Sloane Square Tube Station). There are also multiple bus routes which converge at Sloane Square.
I am delighted to be able to share this lovely property with visitors to London. My guests so far have told me what they enjoyed the most was the liveliness of the area and the tranquility and coziness of my London home.
In addition to the charm of the apartment, lovely surroundings and the convenience of living at Sloane Square, you can be assured that you will be well taken care of during your stay in London. The property is managed by a very competent manager who will ensure that your visit is stress free from the moment you step off your flight until the moment you are on your way home.

I would be happy to welcome you to my home should you choose this location for your stay in London.

No surprise - great neighborhood

This appartment was ideal to have a great vacation in London. It was exactly as described with plenty of space, a well designed kitchen and comfortable beds. Chelsea is a great neighborhood to come back at night after a long day of visiting. King's Road and the nearby Duke oy York's Square offer a lot of nice places to enjoy a coffee, a drink or a nice meal. On my next trip to London, I will certainly go back to Tennyson House.

The positive reviews are very accurate - it is a clean, well-provided apartment in the heart of Chelsea. However, during our visit, the building was covered with scaffholding and there is considerable activity both inside and out of the building - painting, carpeting, wallpapering on the inside, and workers carrying on window painting/repair on the outside. It was not quiet during the day. When asked, the owner said "she meant to tell us" but it was not as pleasant a visit as it could have been. Again, this does not impact the inside of the apartment and, if this would be a factor for you, you should ask the owner if the construction is complete.

Excellent base for visiting London. Apartment is exactly as described. Plenty of room with everything you need for a wonderful trip. There are lots of maps, blow dryer and many other thoughtful things to make your trip easy. Dr. Maggie might consider having some adapters for US electric plugs, as most of our small electronics now recharge at 110/220 v without transformers. She already has adapters for continental plugs. Maggie, thank you so much, we would love to stay at your place on our next visit to London. Cathy Brown Lexington, KY USA

Our family of four stayed here July 2010. The apartment is exactly as advertised. Maggie is prompt and courteous. The price is fair. Sarab was waiting on us at the apartment. Maggie even recommended a driver to pick us up from the Eurostar and take us directly to the apartment and pick us up for our flight to Heathrow. Who needs concierge with this kind of service. Very close to Sloan Square station, restaurants and grocery shopping. Excellent pizza place 5 minute walk.

We are a family with 2 children- we stayed in this delightful apartment over Xmas 2009. It was a fantastic base and a cosy retreat to return to every day after some energetic sight seeing. SLoan Square is an outstanding address for so many reasons, and Maggi was a pleasure to deal with- nothing was too much trouble. We had the time of our lives.

We had a fabulous time in London and our stay at Tennyson House was excellent. Staying at your flat brought a whole new dimension to vacationing in London compared to our past visits to London, staying at hotels. My parents, my wife, and I, all just fell in love with the location and the flat. We couldn't have asked for more in its convenience and comfort. From the moment we landed at Heathrow, everything was smooth. I called Sarab from Heathrow when I landed and he informed me that the cleaner was already at the flat and that his staff would check us in once we arrive. The previous tenant actually decided last minute to stay until 11am, but Sarab's team allowed us to store our luggage while they cleaned the property. His staff member showed us around the flat, gave us information regarding the area and London in general, and answered any questions we had. They were very polite, informative, and professional. The checkout process was also simple and smooth. The flat's location is just amazing. Its close proximity and convenience to all the shops and transportation while still having the tranquility and suburban neighborhood feel of the area was fantastic. We felt like real Londoners!!! Your small writeup on the area was great. Partridges was great and that market outside of Partridges on Saturday was amazing..... I think we had something from almost every stall there and we were full for rest of the day. Thank you so much for opening up your beautiful home for others to enjoy throughout the year. It really exceeded all our expectations. If anyone asks for a referral, just let me know and I would be happy to share my experience with them. Thanks and hopefully we'll return to London again in the near future.

This apartment was perfect for our London visit. It is convenient to all sites and is just a few minutes from a tube station that has two different lines coming through it. It is very nicely appointed, too.

“I stayed in the apartment on two occasions in April and May 2009. Each time I found the apartment inviting in appearance and pristine in condition. The owner’s tastefully chosen décor created a comfortable and relaxing environment. By the second day – I felt at home already! The location was ideal for my requirements and I recommend this apartment to anyone who visits London for leisure or for business.
