Sunrock Lodge is a beautiful private and unique mountain cabin with 4 master suites overlooking the town of Blue Ridge, GA and the Blue Ridge mountains. This new in 2006 3,372 square foot home has all of the amenities necessary for a memorable retreat, vacation or business meeting. Sunrock Mountain is between the towns of Blue Ridge, GA and McCaysville, TN putting you in the middle of all of the amenities of the Blue Ridge area.
Four bedroom rental homes in Blue Ridge are rare. You will not find a rental home in Blue Ridge with four master suites each of which has its own private bathroom and large walk-in closet. EVERY room in the home enjoys the same spectacular view. Our guests appreciate the convenience of upper and lower paved driveways to facilitate access. Sunrock Lodge is a great location for the perfect corporate retreat or small group meeting.
In addition to its incredible view, this home has the best of amenities. The two upstairs suites feature high vaulted ceilings. The main floor master suite has a stacked stone fireplace, a massive king size cedar bed and sliding glass door access to the main deck. The cozy downstairs suite enjoys close proximity to the game room and ultimate privacy. There are many areas in the Lodge for the kids to put our their sleeping bags, inside and out. Every room has a high-end ceiling fan to add to the ambiance and keep you comfortable 24/7.
Sunrock Lodge has 900 square feet of decking, 830 feet of which is covered. The main deck runs the entire length of the Lodge on the East side overlooking the Mercier Orchard with the town of Blue Ridge in the foreground. The side deck is screened and features an outdoor wood burning fireplace and a six seat Dynasty Excalibur Series SPA.
The breathtaking great room has a vaulted thirty foot ceiling featuring ceiling to floor glass. You will be hard pressed to resist spending relaxing time in the large leather recliners in our lounge above the great room with the uninterrupted mountain views through the upper great room windows. Sun rises and moon rises viewed from Sunrock Lodge are indescribable. Our lodge manual has solar and lunar tables so that you will not miss any of nature's action.
This exquisitely decorated mountain lodge will warm your heart and cause you to want to return over and over. Our setting is one of the quietest natural places you will ever visit. We feature a working antique clock in every room of the Lodge. Privacy is paramount on a 1.5 acre lot with no manmade structures impeding your view to the horizon and parts of three states. The Mountain View is breathtaking and it is the principal feature of EVERY room in the Lodge.

- Balcony : This incredible home has a covered deck running the full length of the house. This totally private deck looks east toward the town of Blue Ridge, GA about 5 miles distant. The sunrises and moon rises seen from our deck are spectacular. The main deck is accessed from three sliding glass doors in the kitchen, great room and main floor master suite.
- Lanai : Our fully screened side porch is accessed either from the driveway or from French doors that open into the kitchen. The side deck features our Dynasty Excalibur Hot Tub and the outdoor wood burning fireplace.

- Mountain View : Our guests rave about our mountain views. We believe this cabin has among the best mountain vistas available in Georgia. We look to the east and can see Georgia, Tennessee and North Carolina from our main deck. The view is not spoiled or blocked by trees or any man-made structures.

- Telephone : Two phones are available in the home. The phone in the game room is wired and the phone in the kitchen is wireless and may be used anywhere on the premises.

- No Pets Allowed : Although we like pets, we do not bring them to this house because many potential guests have pet allergies.
- Kid Friendly : There are many things for kids to do. We stock a variety of board games and have a pool table for the older kids. We also stock a variety of family friendly DVD's. Our game room TV has front jacks for guest provided video games. There are few places that are as conducive to teaching kids about the outdoors and the abundant wildlife we have.

Why the Owner Chose Blue Ridge
We visited Blue Ridge a number of times before we were introduced to Sunrock Lodge by a realtor. The Lodge was under construction at the time and when we saw it, we were struck speechless by the views and the solitude of Sunrock's private location. We did not know you could get views like Sunrock's in GA, we thought you had to go to NC or TN to get views like this. We were also very favorably impressed by the proximity of Sunrock to the city of Blue Ridge and the local hospital. Many of the cabins listed in Blue Ridge are a long way out of town.
We like the town of Blue Ridge. It is a true resort community. Unlike many small towns, Blue Ridge is growing with significant investment in the downtown area by a variety of merchants bringing food, entertainment and shopping opportunities. Many people come to Blue Ridge its scenic railroad or the many shows and festivals that are regularly held in the downtown area.
The Unique Benefits at this House
We do not get to use Sunrock Lodge nearly as much as we would like. When we go there, the most enjoyable thing we do is spend time on the main deck. We have never been able to fully take in the view and the overwhelming sense of what David was trying to capture when he wrote Psalms 8. We have a wonderful lounge in the upper center of the lodge that allows us to enjoy the view from side by side leather recliners regardless of the weather.
We enjoy taking a walk over the mountain. This is strenous exercise but it leaves us feeling relaxed and refreshed. After a walk and many evenings, we enjoy time in the SPA on our screened side porch. In the winter, we build a fire in the outside fireplace and enjoy the cooler temperatures while sitting in front of a toasty fire.
A few months back, I replaced the grill with a new stainless, gourmet grill. We like to cook out and do it as often as we can.
We spend a lot of hours sitting in the great room listening to the gentle ticking of Sunrock's antique wall clock.
Although, it's hard for us to draw ourselves away from the nature elements of Sunrock, we sometimes retreat to our game room where you find a 50" flat screen high definition TV hooked up to a Bose Lifestyle surround sound system. It's ability to produce DVD's is awsome. We also have a professional quality pool table and a game table with a chess set, card games and a few board games available.
We like to host friends at Sunrock. We have a gourmet kitchen with granite counters, stainless appliances and everything you would ever need to cook anything you can think of. Jo Ann saw to that. We and many of our guests have created many a memory in our kitchen.

The Blue Ridge Scenic railroad station is located in downtown Blue Ridge. The train makes reqular runs to McCaysville and is one of the many reasons people visit Blue Ridge

My name is Ray Snead. I am the owner of Sunrock Lodge. I have spent the majority of my career in healthcare finance. I am now an Executive Services Partner with Tatum, LLC., an interim CFO firm based in Atlanta. This work allows me to live for periods in different parts of the country experiencing their climates and cultures for several months at a time. I have done work with this firm in Texas, Wisconsin and most recently Florida. I have been married to my only wife for 35 years and we have two grown, maried children. One is an attorney in Marietta, GA and the other is a police officer in Jacksonville, AL.
When not working, we enjoy spending time at Sunrock Lodge, hiking and shooting sports.

The pictures really do not do this property justice. My husband and I stayed in this fabulous lodge with three other couples. We all thoroughly enjoyed our stayed. The size was ideal for 4 couples. The downstairs was an apartment in itself. The men enjoyed playing pool while the ladies lounged, talked and read. Afternoons were spent cooking on the grill, or in the fully equipped kitchen. The mountain view was spectacular! It was a perfect getaway for all of us and we will be going back again. We would like to thank the owners for sharing their beautiful lodge with us.

This was a last minute trip and the owners were very helpful. We went on July 3rd and were arriving late in the evening. The drive was very peaceful and the scenery was beautiful. There were fireworks going off everywhere as we made our way to the cabin. When we arrived everyone was very pleased with Sunrock Lodge. It had the most beautiful view and the bedrooms were extremely nice and the sheets I will just say AAAHH. We made every meal in the magnificent kitchen with everything you need to cook a meal.The downstairs game room had a pool table board games and big screen tv with bose speakers. We almost never left that room. My family enojys playing board games and the pool table was icing on the cake. If I have the chance again I will definately stay at this cabin. It was very clean and had everything you need just take food and drink and you don't even have to leave.
