The pictures really do not do this property justice. My husband and I stayed in this fabulous lodge with three other couples. We all thoroughly enjoyed our stayed. The size was ideal for 4 couples. The downstairs was an apartment in itself. The men enjoyed playing pool while the ladies lounged, talked and read. Afternoons were spent cooking on the grill, or in the fully equipped kitchen. The mountain view was spectacular! It was a perfect getaway for all of us and we will be going back again. We would like to thank the owners for sharing their beautiful lodge with us.

This was a last minute trip and the owners were very helpful. We went on July 3rd and were arriving late in the evening. The drive was very peaceful and the scenery was beautiful. There were fireworks going off everywhere as we made our way to the cabin. When we arrived everyone was very pleased with Sunrock Lodge. It had the most beautiful view and the bedrooms were extremely nice and the sheets I will just say AAAHH. We made every meal in the magnificent kitchen with everything you need to cook a meal.The downstairs game room had a pool table board games and big screen tv with bose speakers. We almost never left that room. My family enojys playing board games and the pool table was icing on the cake. If I have the chance again I will definately stay at this cabin. It was very clean and had everything you need just take food and drink and you don't even have to leave.

Dear Ray & Jo Ann. All of us retired couples thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. It was so completely furnished and the beds were wonderful. The scenery was outstanding. We did get to see ONE sunrise and A moon. The rest of the time, it was overcast and raining. It was a great place to reminise and enjoy our long friendships . . . .49 years. We too never ate our but planned our meals and ate here. We didn't need anything because your kitchen is very well supplied! The only thing needed was some extra bath cloths. We are looking forward to our next outing.

Labor Day Weekend. Thank you for letting our family enjoy your home. We love this cabin and can't wait to come back. We all enjoyed everything about this wonderful place. We just cooked and enjoyed being together. We thoroughly enjoyed the kitchen and grill. We didn't eat out at all. All the beds were so comfortable and every thing was VERY CLEANED. We have stayed in lots of cabins but this one is the best by far. I especially enjoyed the peacefulness, the sunrises and the fulll moon. God is good to have belessed us to have let our family to enjoy these days together. Thank you for blessing us with your home.

That is the only way I know to describe this home. I could not say enough good things about it, the layout of the home was perfect for our family. We have stayed at many cabins but this one by far was the best. The view from every room of the home was spectacular. The sunrises, sunsets and the big full moon was just picture perfect. The home was spotless and believe me I am very picky when it comes to clean. We only went out one day to Field of the Woods which is great if you haven't been. But we so enjoyed the property that we did all the cooking there. It has a great gas grill. It looked new. A big screened in porch with rocking chairs and a hot tub. a deck you could sit on and just admire all of God;s handy work. The bed were all very comfortable and really nice bed linens. I just can't say enough good things about this property and I speak for my family as well. There was 4 couples and my mother -in -law and we had plenty of room for everybody to do what they wanted to do and not bother any one. We love to play games and cards and I love to read, oh yea, they even have a very good selection of books, I read the autobiography of Franklin Graham while I was there so if you get to go I highly recommend it. Thanks again for sharing your home with our family and allowing us to make memories we will never forget.

Thank you for sharing your "paradise home" with our family. We are from Florida and typically like to reunion on cruise ships. We decided we wanted something new - & we were not disappointed!!! Grandma (or Abuela as we call her) loved the kitchen and the deck. The boys (ages 10,8 & 2) loved the outdoors - fishing, horseback riding & hiking. We all LOVED the train and the men loved watching the Masters in the basement. We went to Easter mass at St. Anthony Catholic & it was delightful. What kind and welcoming folks - they even had an egg hunt. The kids were plesantly surprised! The week went by all too quickly - already planning our next trip here! Let me just say on behalf of our entire family - never before have we felt so loved by people we have never even met! We are still in awe as we sadly depart, however - after a unaminous vote, we can't waid to come back. Thank you for extending such a gracious hand to us. I don't have to tell you about the rotten road, but I also don't have to tell you this view is well worth the drive. It's just gorgeous up here. The house is great and the bed was the best - better than mine. Good night's sleep every night. We cooked every meal at the house and I'm here to tell you that your appliances are the best. It was ALMOST a pleasure cooking and washing clothes. Thank you for your hospitality. Owner comment: The road is gravel in places. It gets rutted from time to time and the owner's association has it graded. It was graded shortly after this stay. The winding tree covered road to Sunrock Lodge is part of the adventure. We have never experienced difficulty on the road with our Cadillac Deville that has very low ground clearance. The comment about the beds is encouraging to us. All of our beds have high end mattresses with egg crates on them. This is one of the unseen touches we've added to make sure you will get the best rest at Sunrock you've ever had. Combine the peace of our secluded location with our high quality bedding and you are in for a stay that you will not soon forget.

Pre-dawn. Mountains still black, blanketed by mist lit gold by a yet unseen sun. Somehow, maybe by the sheer height of them, the mountains force upon me a certain stillness. There is no thought of hard work or hard play. Just this stillness that keeps me in this rocking chair. Toes stretching towards the now rising sun - the mist bleached to silver. Peace . . . We had a very wonderful stay here at your cabin. The cabin is beautiful and has all the extra amenities we needed. A great view of the mountains! Love staying here. The only thing is it's too dark here at night. Owner comment: Sunrock lodge is a secluded, private mountain cabin. The only night light is what nature provides. On a cloudly night with no moon, you will experience nature's true darkness.

Mikal is the man! So he thinks! We had four couples here for the wekend & it was great. We had a great time celebrating love & friendship. Beautiful snowfall Saturday. (2") Cold at night - 16 degrees We had a wonderful time. Plenty of room for 8 (4 couples) Plenty of things to do. We never got bored. The sunsets were beautiful, the moonrises were gorgeous. The sunrises were brilliant - no curtains. Couldn't miss it in the morning. No alarm clock necessary. Thank you for thinking of "the little things." This is a well cared-for property.

Our family had a wonderful time in your cabin. It took us a while to figure out the TVs and fire places but we got it. Every morning and night we looked outside to see the most beautiful view! What a wonderful way to spend our 29th anniversary. Your mountain home is beautifully furnished and quite comfortable. It took a few trips up and down the steps for my short legs to get the hang of them. The fluffy white robes were great for having our morning coffee on the porch as well as wearing after the hot tub. Thank you for the gift basket of goodies. They came in handy. We very much enjoyed our weekend and definitely will return. Also, thank you for your guest manual. I know a lot of work went into it but it was quite helpful.

This wonderful stay at the SUNROCK LODGE ended too soon! My husband and I, along with our son, daughter and two children spent our 45th wedding anniversary enjoying every minute of this fabulous SUNROCK LODGE, the great decor and all the comforts we would ever want! Appreciated so much. We saw a deer, four or five turkeys, blue jays and other birds. We had two very good rain storms and sunny days, plenty of early morning fog. Went on a TRAIN RIDE - had a breakfast and dinner at the SERENITY GARDENS in Blue Ridge. Some of us went whitewater rafting - visited many little towns with short day trips, shopped, read and finished books, went to the movies - really enjoyed our time in your Mountain Home! Would love to do it again.
