This three bedroom, two bath home is located in Riverbend, a private community with a private lake and swimming beach. There is a boat available on the lake so bring your fishing gear! (NC fishing license required). There are hiking trails and picnic areas available also.
Riverbend is just a few miles from Lake Lure, one of the ten most beautiful man-made lakes in the world. Lake Lure is nestled in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. The lake area is known for its fishing, swimming, and other water sports, as well as abundant wildlife. An unusual natural thermal belt runs through the area, providing Lake Lure with wonderfully moderate temperatures year round. Major motion pictures filmed here include Dirty Dancing, Last of the Mohicans, A Breed Apart, and Fire Starter.
The Sage Cottage has two bedrooms on the main level (one with queen bed and one with twin beds) and a full bath. A queen sleeper sofa is in the living room. Upstairs is the Master Bedroom (with king bed) and a very large Master Bathroom with a Jacuzzi and stand-up shower. The lower level has a drive-in garage, washer/dryer and a game room with a pool table, ping-pong table, air hockey table, card table, surround-sound stereo and Play Station 1 for the kids (or adults!). The Sage Cottage has been uniquely decorated with many antiques to reflect a French Country style. Your attention will be drawn to the antique tiles on the Jacuzzi and Fireplace. An old farm table serves as the kitchen - bar. Relax and rock on the long, covered front porch while listening to your favorite music (stereo is wired to porch, living room, and Master Bedroom).
