A clean, quiet, and well located property; other than VNP, easy drive to anywhere (and VNP worth the trip!). The condo was large, comfortable, and accomodated both teens and adults with room to spare. Black Sands 49 was our evening swim - short walk over the lava rock to a peaceful beach, then back to BBQ on the lani. The beach club was nice, but definitely more for the family with small children. Hapuna Beach, 5 miles away was great for all, especially teens. Thanks for a well stocked kitchen, lots of beach gear, ice chests, towels, and good advice in the welcome binder. The master room lani upstairs was a favorite retreat. The big screen TV was appreciated for the NCAA final 4 (womens' and mens!) and even mom could figure out the remote. Thanks for sharing a delightful home.

We were fortunate to spend all of February in this delightful and fully equipped condo. The location of the villa is among the best in the complex. We loved that they did not have the standard practice of throwing out anything partially used by previous renters. Thus we had more ability to cook using spices etc. you might not buy for a week/month stay. The variety of cookware and serving items was unrivaled by any condo we have ever stayed in. This and many of the other golf villas do not include the garage but they were not picky about storing bikes outside and their closet full off beach items was wonderful....chairs, cooler, beach toys and towels. We hope to return soon.

Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful home with us. My family of 5 had an amazing stay and it was perfect. The home was clean, spacious and fully stocked - from kitchen and household items to pool toys. Some condos just give the bare minimum for plates, etc. This kitchen had more than enough which was nice - especially if you have some dishes still in the dishwasher. The kids loved having their own bathroom while my 81 year old mother enjoyed her own bedroom and bathroom on the main floor. The pictures do not do it justice. We loved sitting out on the lanai watching the golfers while our children ran around on the green space to the side. Inside, there was more than enough room to play games (which the condo provided!) or watch movies. The condo is a great proximity to the pool and the nearby private beach club (which is a real bonus!) Karen gave us a full list of things to see and do and was extremely helpful - the Fisherman's Trail was an adventure for us and we even watched a whale play in the ocean. We also enjoyed going to the nearby black sand beach which we didn't even know about during our last visit in the Mauna Lani resort. We definitely recommend this condo for anyone with small children to seniors. Thank you again for helping us have an incredible vacation. Should we come back to the Big Island, we will definitely try to stay here!

Our family of 6 (4 adults, 2 kids) spent a fantastic Xmas week on the Big Island. The villa is beautifully decorated with everything you could need. The kitchen has every piece of equipment imaginable. You could tell the villa is the homeowners getaway and not a cookie cutter rental. Be sure to check out the Mauna Lani Beach Club. The restaurant and beach are great. If you get a chance, drive to Hawi, a cool laid back town about 35 minutes NW from Mauna Lani. There are some great shops and a unique farmers market on Tuesdays. Our kids had some of the best "shave ice".

We were lucky enough to spend a month in this beautiful villa - we never wanted to leave! The villa is beautifully furnished, spacious and the owners have thought of all a family could need to enjoy their vacation. They have everything from coolers, boogie boards, snorkeling equipment, pool gear, toys, crayons and beach mats. Kitchen is fully stocked, back patio is awesome and a great place to grill - we hit costco on the way in, highly recommend. The decor is beautiful and inviting, yet functional. Our 3rd night there, the tsunami evacuation was ordered (my husband had not yet arrived so was alone with my two small children) - and the owners went above and beyond for me by contacting me, walking me through what to do, where to go, even trying to coordinate somewhere for us to spend the night, texting me updates throughout the whole event from the mainland to the point of letting us know when we could go back to the villa. Without them, I would have been totally freaked out :) Instead turned out to be a little car camping adventure for us and we couldn't wait to get back to our home away from home. This area is perfect for families - the private beach club was our favorite hang out, along with nearby restaurants, and the complex pool was perfect, never crowded and we met a lot of nice people here. We rented bikes and a trailer which made our stay even more enjoyable as this is a great place to bike around - the beach, to the hotels, the shopping center etc.. Foodland rocks. If we weren't at the beach or the villa, seems we were hanging at foodland! Be sure to give them your phone number for the discount!! We were so sad to leave this villa and our pretend life there :) We will definitely be back to stay here - you couldn't ask for better owners to work with, they genuinely care about your stay. There isn't a negative to say about the villa or the location - if you are going to the big island, stay here.

The description and pictures accurately represent those views presented in the pictures, but, in fact, the property was better than we expected. The townhouse was incredibly comfortable and wonderfully well equipped. We particularly appreciated the beach gear including tatami mats, tons of beach towels, beach chairs, snorkeling gear, boogie boards and a variety of coolers for our picnic lunches. The kitchen was well equipped as well and we also really enjoyed the outdoor kitchen area with the barbeque. We had various guests stay with us including our son and daughter in law with our six month old grandson. To our amazement, and even though he was teething at the time, the townhouse proved to be remarkably well soundproofed. The layout worked extremely well with our various guests, too, providing a maximum of privacy with lots of room for everyone and everything. The location was ideal for us, being so close to so many beaches and good golf courses as well as shops and a variety of excellent restaurants. The property was very clean and well maintained. We had a couple of really minor problems arise and the owners were amazingly quick in responding to our questions and dealing with the issues. Thank you, Karen, for a delightful stay in your beautiful island townhouse.

We loved our stay at this exceptional villa. The location in the beautiful Mauna Lani resort is great. The villa is spacious and extremely well appointed. It is clean and very well maintained - in fact it looks nearly brand new. We enjoyed the outdoor living space on both lanais. Karen was an outstanding owner to deal with. She went above and beyond to make sure our stay was perfect. As fellow VRBO owners, we were very impressed.

Aloha, This property was amazing! We traveled to the Big Island with our family of 8 (2 adult children, 2 teenagers, 2 little ones (7 and 4), my husband and myself) for Christmas this past year 2009 and the stay was pleasant. It was more beautiful then we expected. It felt like we were right at home but with more royalty. For mom's, a bit more work with the up keeping but if you have lots of time for kicking back and not on the go, it's just for you. Very enjoyable and the shops & restaurant were close in distance. Everything you need is there in the home, from masks and boogie boards, to coolers and beach chairs. Close to the Hilton Waikoloa to see the dolphins and the private beach was great. My two little ones sure enjoyed that spot. The home was very clean and well maintained. Location is very quite so if your looking for peace and relaxation, this property is for you. The owner provided all the information from check-in to check-out. We never needed to call them for any assistance with our stay so that means no complications. I will suggest a vehicle if you want to stay here cause the pool is right out the front door and everything else is not in walking distance. We stayed for 5 nights and we only ate out once. We drove to the Hilton and enjoyed our last dinner at Macaroni Grill which was great. All other meals (breakfast, lunch and dinners), we cooked at home so if you want to save some money this is the way to go. Try it and you'll see for yourself. Mahalo Nui Loa!

We had such a wonderful time. The condo is amazing. It had everything we needed and more. We have been playing around with the idea of buying something and we really thought the Golf Villas are the best. Thank you so much for all your attention to detail and for making it such a warm and inviting home. We were so sad to leave. We loved the Beach Club. It was perfect for our little ones and the snorkeling was very good. We hope to be able to visit again. The Mauna Lani Resort is a terrific area. We enjoyed dinner at the Fairmont at Brown's and at the bar next to it (the kids loved eating on the sand and seeing the sunset), brunch at the Mauna Lani and the fishpond tour and the free hula show at the shopping center.

Just wanted to say what a FABULOUS time we all had at your place! The villa is so beautifully decorated and well maintained. It took us no time at all to be settled in and comfortable. My husband and I took advantage of the time difference...we were up and out early for a nice hour long walk every morning. We also got lots of day trips and beach time covered. Although the whole trip was incredible, some favorite highlights were...kayaking at the Captain Cook monument (even my senior parents kayaked across the bay!)...taking the catamaran snorkeling trip out of Mauna Lani (saw lots of whales!)...stopping at Tako Taco's on the way back from Hilo...spending a lot of beach time at the Mauna Kea beach...watching the turtles at the black sand beach...and eating as much papaya, pineapple and avocado as is humanly possible! The week we arrived home, United Airlines offered a jaw-dropping deal out of Vancouver direct to Kona. Had it not been for jobs, school, and 'real' life, it would have been very tempting to jump on the next flight back! So, thank you again...for your beautiful place, all your tips on what to see and do, and the ease of this whole transaction.

Your villa is absolutely terrific. The photos do not do your place justice. We are thrilled to be able to have this unit for our vacation! We had a great time during the vacation and really enjoyed staying at your place. Everything was excellent, well furnished, the kitchen was very well appointed and I really enjoyed the lanai and outdoor kitchen. The location is A-1 where we could watch golfers out the back and also be a quick few steps across the street to the pool and hot tub. Your recommendations on beaches were right on the mark we really liked the Beach Club and 49 Black Sands Beach very close and the snorkeling was top notch. Other beaches were amazing at Hapuna and Mauna Kea. Also tried some of the restaurants you recommended we especially enjoyed Roys and Huggos. Thanks again for your efforts required for renting the villa to us. Next time we are back to the Big Island, we would definitely want to use your place as our base!!
