Aloha and Mahalo for visiting our listing! We are the owners and managers of this and one other vacation rental condo in Waikiki and do our best to keep them looking and feeling like home! Located in the heart of Waikiki, we are offering a comfortable, furnished and air conditioned one bedroom deluxe condo complete with kitchen on the corner of the 21st floor, and just minutes (350 steps!) from famous Waikiki Beach. We recently made several upgrades including wireless internet service, replaced the flooring, range, bath fixtures, and furnishings with more improvements to come!
The unit is spacious (corner units are 10% larger) and includes a kitchen complete with island seating, cookware, dishware, microwave, coffee maker, and rice cooker; living room with cable television and DVD player; and outdoor lanai seating with fantastic Diamond Head, partial ocean, and recreation deck views. We also provide many other amenities that other condos and hotels do not such as beach chairs, beach towels, umbrella, cooler, infant sand toys, basketball, tennis racquets, and boogie boards for your added convenience to enjoy local activities and minimize packing or renting. A land line phone with unlimited local, US Mainland, and Canada calls is available.
The recently renovated, resort-like facility at Waikiki Banyan includes a recreation deck with a large pool, hot tubs, playground, putting/practice green, basketball court, tennis court, bar-b-que grills with outdoor table seating, and snack bar. The Banyan also features a lobby internet cafe with internet access for those with laptops and desktop/printer terminals. The onsite tour desk and weekly activity guidebooks can provide options for any occasion.

Year Purchased: 2005
We (Ed & Kathryn) are an engineer and architect who have been working and playing here in Hawaii since 2000. Ed is originally from southwest Michigan where he grew up enjoying the seasons hiking, playing sports, spending time with family and, of course, taking beach or fishing trips to Lake Michigan during the summers! Kathryn grew up near Houston, TX where she immersed herself in city life, teaching aerobics and jazzercise, travel, and trips to Galveston. We met by chance in Saipan where we both worked at the same A&E firm and later became friends and family.
Why the Owner Chose Waikiki Banyan
We orinally purchased the Banyan condo as a project to either fix-up and rent or sell. We love the condo so much, the proximity to endless beaches, and bringing our two daughters there to enjoy mini-vacations from our everyday lives, that we decided to keep and rent it. Little by little we have made small improvements and hope to continue building new and return customer base of happy vacationers, making improvements along the way!
The Unique Benefits of this Condominium
The biggest benefit we enjoy staying at the Waikiki Banyan are the easy access and walking distance to so many enjoyable activities and amenities - Waikiki Beach (beach combing, surfing/boogie boarding, Sunset on the Beach movie), the Zoo, the Waikiki Shell (concerts), the Aquarium, Kapiolani Park, Diamond Head park and trail, pool, hot tubs, bar-b-ques, shopping, and fantastic restaurants. All of these options and more right on-site or just minutes from the Banyan!
