We stayed at this lovely cabin (really a small house) in early July and were exceptionally pleased with its location and value. It is down a very quiet lane, nestled among tall pine trees, and right on the edge of the lake. We soon realized that it had the BEST view of the lake and positioned to best see the Canadian mountains to the north. The house is simple, but clean and the recent renovation, which included a fresh coat of paint, makes it quite cheery. The only negative was that the sole bathroom is VERY small so you sort of have to sqeeze yourself in. The kitchen, while not updated, has plenty of counter space and was well equipped with pots and pans... so we cooked in each night (often using the barbecue). The broadband Internet worked fine, as did the new TV. If your family is interested in a quiet vacation spot you'll find the lake a true delight. It was quite shallow, so you can walk right into the water and continue out quite far. We had a great time kayaking as the owner let us use his (he has a house two doors down). The owner was also very nice in helping us and sending info. All in all, we enjoyed our visit - and would definitely recommend. For the price, it was so much nicer than staying in a hotel.Recommended for: Families with young children, age 55+.
