  We absolutely loved our stay at Casa Fuerte. We were there for the week of our spring break, March 28 - April 4. The place was perfect for the six of us. We took my 18 year old daughter and her friend and our two friends from St. Louis met us there. We had everything we needed. Martha and Antonio were fantastic, very helpful. The location was perfect. We walked to all the wonderful restaurants and shopping in Bucerias. The first night we got there, we just sat on the patio overlooking the ocean and marveled at the amazing sunset. The accomodations were not luxurious, but we were very comfortable and the location and view ---- incomparable!! We used Pedro, the taxi driver to take us to Mega for a big grocery trip. He was great. We also went on a canopy zip line trip booked through Scott's tours (Los Veranos was the tour, I think) We hired Guadencio to take us in his van and he was great. After the zip line tour, he took us to watch crazy cliff divers and have lunch at Chico's Paradise, then to a Tequilla factory. We had planned to go to Puerto Vallarta for a day, but decided against it since Bucerias and Casa Fuerte had everything we needed. Some of the restaurants we loved were Claudio's Meson Bay for traditional mexican, Mark's Bar and Grill, Mezoggiorno (Italian) Karen's Place for breakfast and Pepito's just north a bit on the beach. All the little beach restaurants were great for late afternoon snacks and great happy hour drinks too!! It was a perfect vacation. Thank you Strong family!!!!

  Thank you so much Pat and Dusty for allowing us to escape a part of the Canadian winter in your condo the beach and people in Bucerias are very friendly and fun and Martha and Antonio are great we would recommend this rental to anyone and enjoyed it so much more than a resort. We speak no spanish and had no problem with any of the necessities of life and found a taxi driver recommended to us by Antonio to be very helpful and ready to take us anywhere at very resonable rates. I would recommend anyone to get Caesar to take you to the hotsprings and the little restaurant by the hotsprings for a meal , this was the highlight of our two weeks in Bucerias.

  We all loved Casa Fuerte. It is perfect for families, especially two couples with children. The large palapa provides shade if you want it, yet you're still overlooking the ocean beside a pool. This section of the beach is also quieter than the ones directly in front of the town square. The waves were great for our 8/9 year olds to play in, although not really long enough for surfing (Sayulita is only a 30 min bus ride away). We also went whale watching and snorkelling at Isla Marietas which is also about 30 min on the bus. Bucerias seemed safe and friendly with shopping, restaurants, and cafes an easy walk. King beds were comfortable, kitchen well stocked, and the place has a welcoming feel with books, games and family photos on the walls. Highly recommended!

  Just returned from Casa Fuerte. The location and view were great and the owner was a pleasure to work with but we found the property to be in need of serious cleaning and something done about the strong odor of mould and mildew in the air. The a/c is only in the l/v and the filter on that needs attention, too. Turning the a/c on and closing up the condo did not make the odor better The fan blades were also in need of cleaning and did little to dissipate the foul odors even with everything left open. Nothing in the condo was very clean when we arrived.

  Owner response: Thank you for your recent review. As per our emails, I was surprised about the cleaning issues as we were just there very recently and I had cleaned thoroughly and have had renters in between with no issues. We will be back again soon and will definitely look into the matter as we expect to have the condo in good condition for our renters as well as for ourselves.

  the view is lovely and location is good but the property needs to be cleaned and deodorized. smell of mould, mildew and sewer gas could be overwhelming at times -- running the a/c in the living room (the only a/c in the condo) did not help. the owner is a nice lady and hopefully will get the place cleaned up.

  Where to begin.......what an amazing two weeks! Casa Fuerte is set right on the beach. Our family spent ours days at the pool and on the beach. The caretakers were very helpful, friendly and great cooks! We enjoyed the quiet and the enjoyment of this not being a large resort.Everything is very accessible, stores, town, buses etc... What a way to wake up every morning sitting on the beach with your coffee watching the locals fish and dolphins swimming by. The evenings where spent the same a cold beverage,watching the locals set off fire works, and the amazing sunsets. It was very, very hard to pack up and head home to Canada -22 weather! :( Pat, Dusty and family thank you so very much for sharing your treasure with my family. We can't wait to come back!

  We just spent a wonderful week at Casa Fuerte. The location was perfect- right on the beach and an easy walk to restaurants and the main Plaza. The pool was great for an occasion dip to cool off and the first floor unit made for easy access to beverages and snacks. The condo is very comfortable with modern amenities including purified water from the taps. Everything from beach towels, boogie boards and lounger pads are available for your use. We had a very relaxing vacation and look forward to returning in the future. Michael & Anita

  We just returned from a wonderful week at Casa Fuerte. The location was perfect- beach & ocean front and a short walk to restaurants and the main Plaza.The condominium has been updated on a regular basis by the owners and is very user friendly. Everything you need is available - beach towels, boogie boards, lounger pads and purified water from the taps.We took a cab to the Mega market and did the bulk of our shopping, but there is also a 'Mini-Super' just off the Plaza for small items as the week went on. All in all a very relaxing vacation at Casa Fuerte. We look forward to returning in the near future. Michael & Anita
