We just spent a wonderful week at Casa Fuerte. The location was perfect- right on the beach and an easy walk to restaurants and the main Plaza. The pool was great for an occasion dip to cool off and the first floor unit made for easy access to beverages and snacks. The condo is very comfortable with modern amenities including purified water from the taps. Everything from beach towels, boogie boards and lounger pads are available for your use. We had a very relaxing vacation and look forward to returning in the future. Michael & Anita

We just returned from a wonderful week at Casa Fuerte. The location was perfect- beach & ocean front and a short walk to restaurants and the main Plaza. The condominium has been updated on a regular basis by the owners and is very user friendly. Everything you need is available - beach towels, boogie boards, lounger pads and purified water from the taps.We took a cab to the Mega market and did the bulk of our shopping, but there is also a 'Mini-Super' just off the Plaza for small items as the week went on. All in all a very relaxing vacation at Casa Fuerte. We look forward to returning in the near future. Michael & Anita

Casa Fuerte is a perfect place to be. We enjoyed our dinners on the porch where we could relax and enjoy the sunset. It is a wonderful location - five minute walk to restaurants and ten minutes to the center of town. We can hardly wait to come back.

We just spent 2 weeks at Casa Fuerte. We had a wonderful time playing in the pool and beach. The Casa has everything you will need and if not Martha or Antoneio can get it for you. We tried a few new restaurants and street taco stands. All the food was great. We highly recommend you choose Casa Fuerte for your stay.

Our family vacation at Casa Fuerte in Bucerias was Paradise at it's finest!! The Condo is beautifully renovated, with all of the comforts of home, and it has breath taking views! The caretakers also take wonderful care of the condo and the grounds. This is our second time renting the Condo, and our family would never rent anywhere else or even go to an all-inclusive resort. We are already planning our vacation at the condo for next year! This condo truly is "Home away from Home".

We just got back from 7 days in paradise at Casa Fuerte in Bucerias. The accommodations were perfect (as well as the weather) and we would recommend Case Fuerte to couples and/or families, and we have! We found the condo sparkling clean with the most comfortable of king beds, great showers, lovely pool area and everything you would need for a relaxing stay. The condo was just the right size for two couples (although big enough for more). Having the pool and ocean just steps from the living room was too good to be true. The location was great - walking distance to great restaurants, bars and shops, but we were just as happy to make our own margaritas and guacamole and enjoy the views of the ocean and sunsets. We are hoping to book another week in the near future, next time may try to get the family all together and enjoy paradise.

Spent just over 2 weeks at Casa Fuerte and it was the perfect spot for our family (1 1/2 year old & 4 year old). The location was perfect with a short walk to town and a nice sandy beach right outside. The beach was perfect for a 4 year old as it very shallow and allowed my son to play in the waves and ride the boogie board safely (having boards available at the condo was great). We did not rent a car and did not need one. Everything was either in short walking distance or a easy bus ride away. The town, the people and the weather could not have been better. The condo is updated and very livable. Having wireless internet, a dvd player and washer/dryer at a rental are now musts for us. The only thing that kept us from giving 5 stars is the pool. Would have loved a little heat so the kids could play a little more in it (no issue for adults as floating along with a beer in hand the temp was perfect). Also we found out a shared pool is not the best when a family of 12 rents the next door unit. That said we will be back to Casa Fuerte in the future.

Jodi and I were lucky enough to book two weeks at Casa Fuertes at the end of December 2010. This lovely fourplex is situated a few minutes walk north of restaurant row in Bucerias. The condo has recently been updated throughout and compares well with some of the newer high end condos nearby. Personally we like the smaller, quieter accommodations as they seem more personal and friendly, although you will find all of Bucerias very friendly. Pat and Dusty have fitted the condo with everything you need from the interior accommodations to poolside to the beach. We have visited many different areas of the Pacific side of Mexico from Puerto Escondido in the south to Mazatlan in the north and we definitely recommend Bucerias and Casa Fuertes in the Puerto Vallarta area. It is a perfect location with perfect weather; an easy bus ride to Puerto Vallarta if you want the big city experience. The only item lacking was a bar-b-que for outdoor cooking.

My husband and I stayed at Casa Fuerte from October 18 through October 28. If you are trying to decide if you should book here, do not hesitate . It is a beautiful property directly on the beach that will have you relaxed in no time and enjoing all that this location has to offer. The interior is all newly renovated and beautiful. The owners have done everything to ensure a comfortable stay. The view is spectatctular and you have a pool steps from your door. We loved the shaded palapa and cooking fresh seafood ! You can walk to everything that you need . Enjoy!

To all of you who have stayed at or inquired about staying at Casa Fuerte in Bucerias, Mexico: We have just completed a beautiful remodel of the oceanfront property. We used a local wood for all kitchen and bathroom cabinetry from the Primavera trees. The counters are of a lovely granite. The flooring has been updgraded to Porcelain tiles. The bathroom showers also have lovely porcelain tiles as well as accent mosaic tiles in the showers. All fixtures are Moen Nickel to prevent oxidation from being near the sea and salt water. Bedroom and bathroom doors as well as the entry door have been replaced with custom Primavera doors as well. All new kitchen appliances are stainless steel. We installed a full size stainless dishwasher, a 6 burner gas stove, a new microwave and undermount stainless sink. We chose a full size washer and dryer set as well. There is now a 20 gallon water heater, a hydro pump and what all will appreciate, a water purification system!!! The purified water allows you to drink from any sink tap and also runs to the dishwasher. We have made a computer desk with internet in the great room, re-upholstered chairs, made seating at the window bench area and added sleeping in the den area. We have Star Choice/Shaw Direct (English satellite) TV, a DVD player and DVD and book selections, many games and even boogie boards. There is now a dining table with sand to show off found shells and sea glass. A safe has been installed in the master bedroom closet which is bolted to the wall. We have added a hammock chair to the screened porch off the master suite. We have security bars on all windows except the front sliders. Please feel free to check out any remaining availability for 2010/2011 and also to forward this on to any friends and family that may be interested in renting. Our VRBO site is www.vrbo.com/132969 Casa Fuerte is located on a dead end cul de sac street just a couple blocks north of town. We have the pool just steps from our terrace as well as the beachfront steps from the pool. Enjoy! I had no idea that I was as tired as I was until Casa Fuerte allowed me to unwind, and unwind and unwind some more! 9 days of bliss in March on the beaches of Bucereas should be mandatory for all! My mother and I got to have the honor discovering the charms of this wonderful community, it's food, it's shops, massages; we even took a mosaic class! I also read 4 books and worked on the best tan I've ever had. Casa Fuerte supplied all our needs with comfort. THANK YOU Pat and Dusty for the vacation of a life-time. We hope to return with our spouses in the future!

The condo was spacious and having 2 king beds were great. The kids shared one and loved having the room to sleep and didn't complain!! The futon was great for my 3 year old. The kitchen was very new and we had everything we needed. The pool was nice, even though it wasn't heated, it was great to cool down and it wasn't too cold but refreshing. My only complaint was the construction going on next door, although in Mexico there always seems to be some contruction going on. Also my daughter got stung by a sting ray on top of her foot, so I highly recommend wearing aqua shoes! The good thing was there was a walk in clinic in town and it only cost $20 and we got it back with our insurance later. The doctor was English speaking and very helpful. So after some antibiotics and a very swollen foot, we were glad we stayed on the beach, as she could walk into town by sand and not have to wear her shoes. There are tons of restaurants along the beach (about a 5-10 min walk) and we did eat at the vendors on the street which were way cheaper and just as good. We also enjoyed the pizza place (watch the Canucks play) and daily visits to the pastry shop! All in all we loved it and highly recommend this place for others to enjoy.

Every time we come to Casa Fuerte we try to do more updates & fix things that have broken in between our visits. A summary of some from this trip are included:New wheels & screens for sliders, cleaning & refinishing much of the Mexican floor tiles,a fun new sand box to go under the glass table to show off our beach finds (after they no longer have any odors left), new Scotchguard/washable slip covers for the couch & lounge chair, new ceiling light fixtures & brighter CFL bulbs for more light & to help conserve energy. We also got a few new kitchen supplies, new rugs for the master bedroom, 2 new sun lounge chairs for the terrace, 2 new boogie boards (If you break one you can buy a replacement at the local surf shop for about 500 pesos-please make sure to get the same large size,)A styrofoam cooler from OXXO & a Karcher power washer to help Tonio clean the bricks around the pool & the entry area to Casa Fuerte. As they say, poco a poco- Little by little- we try to keep & make Casa Fuerte a nice place to be for ourselves & our guests. Enjoy! Pat & Dusty Strong

We enjoyed our stay in Bucerias. The caretakers - Antonio, Martha and their family - were very nice and helpful to keep things going at the condo. This July in Bucerias was very hot. The air conditioner was only in the living/dining room. It had trouble keeping that area cool and had no effect in any of the other rooms including the bedrooms. It was great to have the ocean and pool to cool down a little. The location of the condo was great. It was nice to be able to walk to town on the beach or down a quiet road. It was also very close to the main road which was handy to catch a bus. It was also great to sit out under the palapa and watch the activity on the beach/ocean. It was really neat in the evenings to see the bats fly from their home under the condo’s roof shingles. The condo was well equipped and any other supplies were easy to get in and around town. It was nice that there were only 4 condos in the complex but the common pool area got crowded quite quickly, even when only one other condo was occupied. Our favorite restaurants were El Brujo and Mar Y Sol on the beach, and TUC Mexican Cuisine on the main road by the OXXO store.

We stayed at Casa Fuertein early May of 2009 and were extremely impressed. The place is very well situated and appointed. I believe most all of anyone's comforts would be addressed. The Strongs keep it well supplied and are eager to address any problems. The location could hardly be better--a beautiful beach at our doorstep and only a short walk on that beach to town. The pool is in great condition and is a very desirable amenity. I would recommend it very "strongly".

We absolutely loved our stay at Casa Fuerte. We were there for the week of our spring break, March 28 - April 4. The place was perfect for the six of us. We took my 18 year old daughter and her friend and our two friends from St. Louis met us there. We had everything we needed. Martha and Antonio were fantastic, very helpful. The location was perfect. We walked to all the wonderful restaurants and shopping in Bucerias. The first night we got there, we just sat on the patio overlooking the ocean and marveled at the amazing sunset. The accomodations were not luxurious, but we were very comfortable and the location and view ---- incomparable!! We used Pedro, the taxi driver to take us to Mega for a big grocery trip. He was great. We also went on a canopy zip line trip booked through Scott's tours (Los Veranos was the tour, I think) We hired Guadencio to take us in his van and he was great. After the zip line tour, he took us to watch crazy cliff divers and have lunch at Chico's Paradise, then to a Tequilla factory. We had planned to go to Puerto Vallarta for a day, but decided against it since Bucerias and Casa Fuerte had everything we needed. Some of the restaurants we loved were Claudio's Meson Bay for traditional mexican, Mark's Bar and Grill, Mezoggiorno (Italian) Karen's Place for breakfast and Pepito's just north a bit on the beach. All the little beach restaurants were great for late afternoon snacks and great happy hour drinks too!! It was a perfect vacation. Thank you Strong family!!!!

We just returned from paradise (in other words, Casa Fuerte) and we are relaxed and glowing with warm wonderful memories. The setting and the condo were beautiful, the town and the people friendly, making the vacation perfect. We were active (snorkeling, swimming and boogie boarding) yet spent enough time relaxing by the beautiful pool to come back home re-energized. We can't wait to return (maybe next time with the kids)since it would also be a perfect family vacation...something for everyone! I can't say enough about the accommodations as well as the location. I wish I was holding a margarita right now...

Our stay at Casa Fuerte exceeded our expectations in every way. Christmas in Bucerias was a wonderful change of pace from our more customary pursuit of a White Christmas. The miles of beaches have plenty for type A’s like beach jogging and boogie boarding. Relaxation is easy to find on the beach or by the pool. Evenings are truly enchanted. Sunsets over the bay are breathtaking theater from the terrace. The village has plenty of color from local markets, artisans, restaurants and street food vendors. All with a welcoming small town feel that is only a short walk from Casa Fuerte. You can go upscale or down, the choice is yours. Likewise you can retire early or stay out late listening to some local music in the local hot spots. All of the tropical ambiance, geographic beauty, and culture were more than we could have asked for. The home was fully equipped, spacious, clean, & comfortable. Casa Fuerte is a perfect getaway for couples or a family. Bus transportation is easy if you want to venture further from home. I am sure we will be back.

We enjoy sitting on the pool terrace while having a cold cerveza and watching the surf, reading and watching the local fishermen. A perfect place to relax and enjoy the fun of the pool, the ocean and the beach scene. We walk into town regularly for fresh fruits, the local taco stands and groceries at the corner stores.

One pleasant surprise when we arrived at Casa Fuerte is that it actually looks like it does in the ad pictures! Perfectly located for pleasure and sightseeing. Breakfast on the porch overlooking the pool and ocean, lunch walking distance to good restaurants, one dinner cooked by Marta (she and Antonio live in apt. below - they keep the grounds groomed and were always willing to help if needed. We traveled to Playa Disterrerias to hunt rocks, Punta Mita for good food, Sayulita for art (Evelyne Boren) & to watch surf boarding & San Pancho for shopping (Tres Maria's, Huicholes Indians' bead work). Puerto Vallarta was great. El Tigre was the place for tennis & Sunday brunch. Boogie boarding right out our front door. What's not to love about Casa Fuerte?

My 20 year old daughter and I have taken yearly trips for 10 years now, and this was the best best 'adventure' yet! The condo was very large and had everything! The kitchen was perfect, but we went down wanting to fully experience "real" Mexican food, so we did not cook. We enjoyed the pool right outside the door, and the beach a few more steps away. We appreciated the internet access to communicate with Dad, and I'm sure many of my daughter's friends. It was also fun to look at our pictures each night. We went to Puerto Vallarta several times by bus. It was our first vacation without a car, due to the ease of the bus system. The Strongs have a feel at home place in Bucerias, and we are already talking about next summer! Thank you! Caroline and Lindsey

May 17, 2008 Spent a week swimming in the ocean and pool. We fished the surf in front of Casa Fuerte, snorkeled in Sayulita, and swam with the dolphins in P.V. Our whole family enjoyed the stay ages 60, 52, 40, 36, 10, and 8mos. Truly a fun adventure. And if you need any dental work done Dentista Adrian is just a couple blocks away. He speaks english, is gentle on the mouth, and does fine work. I had a couple of crowns put on and they look great, about half the cost as in the states.

In a word "paradise". Our family had such a wonderful time in Casa Fuerte. It was very homey and relaxing, we went from our pjs, to our swim suits, and then back to our lounging pjs again for 4 blissful days!! Our children, ages 9, 7, and 2, had a great time playing in the sun, in the pool, and in the beach; the body boogie boarding was a blast! The two things I will remember the most is the afternoon sun glistening on the water and the ever present soothing sound of the waves. Martha and Antonio were very sweet and accommodating. Thanks Pat and Dusty for opening up your beautiful home for us. The Diner Family

What a great place, it's very comfortable and homey, and you can't beat the location. We did a few excursions, including a whale watching trip and spending a day in Puerto Vallarta. The best part though was relaxing on the deck, walking along the beach, and exploring Bucerias. We'd definitely return and stay at Casa Fuerte.

It was also easy to eat out at great dining spots right on the beach. The best part was just hanging out around the condo or doing sight seeing at other artful towns. We had a wonderful time staying in your ocean front condo. The weather was amazing, beach was great, the sound of the waves sloshing in day and night provided for mucho relaxation!! We enjoyed the town of Bucerias and would come back to stay again sometime.......thank you very much. Our family really enjoyed ourselves!!

It has been a superb week! The great weather, the soothing sound of the waves, the endless breeze, anticipating the visit of the muffin man, Fernando, watching the kids on the boogie boards, eating out, seeing newly hatched sea turtles, playing "Catchphrase", reading, doing a jigsaw puzzle and best of all just being together as a family. We, the owners, just returned from Casa Fuerte which we closed on just recently. The property and location are a dream come true. Every day we enjoyed meals and drinks on our private terrace overlooking the pool, the ocean and the beach. We went for runs along the beach, boogie boarding in the ocean and long strolls right on the ocean with white sand beaches for 7 miles. It is one of very few condos directly on the beach and only 1 of 4 total condos in the complex. This is very private. As this is not part of a large complex you really feel at home. From this 1st floor condo, you walk directly out to your terrace and then just steps to the pool and ocean with direct access. The setting is perfect and peaceful. We hope you, too, will enjoy Casa Fuerte and return many times in the future. BIENVENIDOS! The Strong Family
